I've been asked a few times to post pics of the light output after converting to Philips 65w 9011 HIR1 bulbs in the factory projectors. The light output works well for me and doing all four for $36 total was a steal. I converted both the high/lows as they both use 9005 bulbs. Best part IMO is I didn't have to mess with drilling caps, running wires or worrying about ballasts burning out. I have the Philips 55w HIR2 9012 bulbs for the fogs but realized i hadn't done them yet, totally forgot as I got busy. Hope this answers the questions some had.

The 9011 bulbs can be found here, although they are now twice what i paid for them and still worth it IMO: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00480J5CW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The 9012 bulbs can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-9012...3933&sr=1-5&keywords=9012+hir2+headlight+bulb

Nice!

Each pack only has 1 bulb or do they come in pairs?

Did you have to modify the plug or was it a direct fit?

Awesome, seems simple enough. My four bulbs will arrive tomorrow from amazon. Just going to replace my high and low beams with these. I also ordered (Vertical): Morimoto XB LED to replace my fog lights.

Hope they work out for you like they did for me.

Got these in today. I’m satisfied with the increased brightness both high and low beam. The addition of Morimoto LED fog lights, when they arrive, should round out my lighting needs.

Thanks for the write up!

If these are halogen, why do they look white like led of hid? They look great for being halogen.

Because they produce more lumens than the standard bulbs do. Standard 9005 bulbs produce approximately 1800 lumens, whereas the 9011 produces approximately 2350 lumens. A big difference in light output.

Do you ever get flashed with those? They look really bright. I'm happy with the OEM projectors, but more light is always a good thing....

Never been flashed at. These bulbs are DOT legal as well.

Yup I did this on my Rebel until I got HIDs installed. They were pretty bright. As a matter of fact, I kept them in my high beams.
