Just wondering. I've wanted to paint my truck a different color since it will need paint and body done once I have all the mechanical sorted out. And since I can't find/decide on my weird gold/bronze/copper tinted grey color, my other favorite choice is a nice sterling type silver with a good sheen to it. {{AKA, Satin or between Satin and Gloss}}

So, in looking for that, I came across this truck on google images and immediately fell for the hue it was painted it. But, it didn't look OEM. Especially in the more side-shot pic as you can see far less of the glossy clearcoat. So, can anyone identify whether this silver is OEM[even from another OEM set], and what the paint code is?

The sticker in you're door jam should have paint code on it for you're original paint, however over the years depending on care the actual shade could have changed. Most auto parts stores can tell you what the actual name of a color is if you know what year and model it was used on.

Oh, I already know my paint color and code. I was just curious about the truck pictured. It looks very nice, especially from the second angle where the clear appears to be more satin than gloss.

I really wonder what a mix of the charcoal grey OEM color and the Bright Silver OEM color combined with a bit of super fine silver/aluminum/titanium/steel metal flake in it and a mix of satin and gloss clear to get a faux gloss/semi-gloss effect would look. Give that some flat/satin black on the lower body line and maybe on the cowl part of a cowl hood with red pinstriping along the black and it could be a recipe for an award winning paint job...

Maybe I'll experiment with my old tailgate and/or fender once I get some replacement and change them out.

I agree, Bright Silver Metallic - I had a friend that had one and needed a new fender painted. I was shocked how much that paint cost!!
