Appreciate it! I think that's it for me on painting, I just wanted a little pop of color under the hood. I'm thinking about doing the hemi and 5.7 with my granite crystal touch up paint, that or maybe doing the chrome bits of the rams head on the front and rear badges with the touch up paint

Looks awesome, your taping skills are way better than mine. How long did you wait for yours to cure, the duplicolor cans said to get all my coats done in an hour, and let it set for a week.

I wouldn't say that....you're looks really good too. The taping took, by far, the longest. I cannot remember honestly how long I waited for the paint to cure. I did wet sand in-between coats though and that will make a huge difference in the end.

I like the idea... Simple but looks good.... I think I want to do mine too. I think I'll get a painter from work to do it.... I'm a mechanic by no means a painter

I had fun painting it, just prep and clean it real good, make sure your tape is secure, lighter coats from 8-10 inches away. Would recommend a mask or respirator though, I had blue boogers for awhile.

I think some DIY projects are better if they are performed in the garage or outside. Wives can be really picky sometimes----mine gets really pissed when I put parts in the dishwasher to clean them-----:naughty::naughty:

Did you have to remove the intake tube from the throttle body?
You do, it's held on with band clamps on both ends then it slides right out. The engine cover has 4 mounting posts, pull up firmly and it should pop out.

Thanks, I ended up figuring it out! Turned out nice when I painted it. F3CFB16B-13B7-4865-8B80-034FB312C3C5.jpeg
