I have been searching round on this forum and can't find the answer to this question so I thought I would start an easily searchable thread for anyone who looks for this in the future.

Where and how are you grounding your amps?
Give a one sentence description of your amps and the location, method.

Might help people with ground issues in the future.

I ran mine to the frame of my truck. Just below the rear seats.

Just meter test any 12v source and use the ground probe to find a solid ground. A seat bolt is great.

I drilled a hole under the back seat, installed a grommet, and ran cable through to the frame where I drilled and tapped a bolt hole.

Just be sure to have bare metal contact. Absolutely no need to go to the frame

While I agree with this, the frame is still always the best option. For the systems people are doing on here though, it is overkill.

maybe people won't think this is ok...but I just grounded my amp to the seat bolt since there was no paint there and it the bolt goes directly to the frame. quick and easy.
