I like how currently if you want the "ram" grill you can have it otherwise you can get crosshairs.... I am just not a fan of it. Looks like a Tundra. wouldn't keep me from buying it though and I wouldn't dwell on it either.... The rest of the truck is evolutionary but a Home Run. they didn't need to do much. it was already a winner.

when I leased my wife's 2014 Malibu she HAD to have a CD Player. it was non negotiable to her. on the way home from the dealership I put a CD in to make sure it worked. when I turned the car in this spring it was still in the player lol.....

I have the CD player in my 14 and still use it. I know I’m in the minority but I like having it. Before I got Apple Music I was probably 65/35 cds/streaming. Now it’s about 25/75 cds/streaming. Maybe I’m just a snob but I can still tell the sound difference, more so with bass than anything else.

Edit: I’m 31 by the way

Am I mistaken or are the new trucks lower and if you want it the same height as the 4th Gen you have to buy an off road package.

I don't believe the standard size is any lower than the current 1500. I think it seemed about the same to me. I think the optional lift is for an extra 2 inches. Usually trucks will vary slightly from the factory, depending on options and stuff. This is especially true with HD's.

Seen in one of the videos the guy stated the lowered the 19s diwn compared to the 18s and down.
He stated shorter tires and lower suspension.

Interior is nice, sliding center console section is an improvement and rear reclining seats and no floor hump make for a much more comfortable rear seating. I don't like the grill as much as my 17 bighorns, too squinty. Not a fan of the Etorque. something else to go "expensively" wrong. Would have been nice to have the extra torque though throughout the entire RPM range. I guess they didn't based on the 8spd trans max torque of 516 lb ft (700 NM).

I hate chrome, hate the embedded badging, and hate the squinty headlights.

I have been thinking for several weeks now as to what can I do with the depression in the hood for that ugly 1500 five seven badge !!
so far I have not come up with anything workable

Take them off, tack weld some metal in its place smaller than the hole (leave a tiny step down) and then body fill, sand, and repaint the whole hood.

Basically what I'd assume happens on door, antenna, and tailgate shaves.

I'm disappointed that the Sport trim package is only available in Canada. I currently own a 2013 Sport and that package was a major reason I switched from GM to Ram. I know you can get the monochrome color as an option with most trim levels but the black badges along with some satin black chrome trim on the interior really appeal to me. I wonder if the Sport trim level really was not a big seller in the states.

First impressions are I like it.
Somewhat expected as far as the soft lines go, I think all need to head in this direction especially given the folks that buy trucks now a days.
I personally think the HD version will be awesome, it will take the soft lines of this truck and turn it into a really nice looking actual truck!
I did not look for them, not sure they are posted, but with the increase in overall strength and power, I wonder what the tow and payload rating are for the new iron?

The sport appearance package is still available on all trims for you's south of the border. I havent seen what is, if anything, different on our sport model vs your sport packages.

If there’s an auto show near you definitely get out there to see it. Pictures don’t do the trick justice. Interior is top notch and well thought out.

Up to 2300 lbs payload and up to 12700 lbs towing IIRC. Mostly due to the eTorque addition and better frame and suspension.

I don't mind it but it would blend right in if you removed the emblem, had it painted body color and then reinstalled.

I went the auto show in PGH last week, mainly to see the new 2019 and I won't lie, I was really pumped to see it.
I get in only to find out that they only brought one Big Horn...no 12" touchscreen, no rambox and it was on a platform so you couldn't get near it. I was so bummed out.

I asked someone there and they told me that all the "good trucks" went to the Chicago show. Man, I get it that Chicago is a bigger market than PGH, but what a slap in the face.

I'm still kinda ticked about it, I was really looking forward to getting my hands on the new trucks.
