Single 10" vented fox box was straight forward, remove the fold out floor, pull the seat out, cut the spacers to fit, lay em down and put your seat back in on top. Took some pictures to show how much higher the seat is with the box.

I had to reuse my old 6x9 speaker spacers. So be prepared for that and install the fronts with the windows down to check for clearance.

I got 6X9 to 6.5 adapters that are same size as factory

You should be good, then.

Hey, what do you think of bullet tweeters? Like 2", 3" and bigger bullet tweeters?

Also cut the ridiculous "X" tips off the sunroof drain tube ends and cleaned the ton of gunk built up inside. Why they put that X tip on the ends is beyond me

I actually have not heard the larger bullet or horn tweeters in person so I really don't know. I saw some 1000W ones though and I can't imagine how ear piercing a 1000W tweeter would be lol

coming from someone who has a giant fiberglass box made by fox as well that goes from both sides with two 12s at 1k+ watts RMS, its pretty interesting, in my truck it makes the front seats vibrate like a **** and broke my overhead console!

now the back seat, where the sub is, you can watch the seat flex as much as the sub does....

and if you want to have fun, put a female back there :naughty:

my neighbors came over to see my truck one day and experience the bass up close and personal, and the wife and daughter both REALLY enjoyed it, at one point he actually walked away from my truck saying "i cant see my daughter look like that and make those faces, and a dad is never supposed to see that" :happy175:

and then when his wife sat back there about 45 seconds into the demo, i felt a hand grab my shoulder, squeeze hard and then i hear "dont turn it off till i let go" :rockit:

so naturally i turned it up the bass knob from 5% to 50%:Big Laugh:

she drew blood from my shoulder from digging in her nails...

that day was a good day!

Ok. Had another snow day off of work today AND the fed ex guy showed up at noon with my new dual amp 0 & 4 gauge kit so I started going to town. Honestly it's been a solid 10 years since I've really been in the system game and wow I forgot what a project it is lol. So I got my sub 100% finished and his amp finished which is the main power source for the dist. Block so that's all good to go. I got all my RCA 's ran through the dash and under carpet and routed so that's all good to go for the second amp.

I had a feeling I was going to fall into old habits so I also ordered kicker comp. 3 way 0-8G battery terminals for +/- and I can see them coming in handy already. I played a rap song (sevin - Buried alive) with my sub amp at 5% bass boost and my deck EQ with sub at 5% and my lights already were dimming when my volume was around 35%. Already rethinking upgrading the big 3. In the mean time I'll get some dang s0eakers going here soon lol.

And of course nothing goes as planned, my 6X9 - 6.5 adapters didn't fit my type R's. So I had to dremel those to fit

Here's a picture of the amps and speakers being installed. JBL 4 channel amp, powerbass 2k watt mono amp, alpine TYPE R 6.5's up front, type R crossovers to fosgate tweeters, and fosgate 6.5's in the back
