Was tinkering around with the crosshair badge. FYI if anyone is interested, it is removeable and you can separate the chrome from the black backing. That means you could easily paint each piece any color you'd like for an easy custom look. Just remove the badge via the tabs and a double adhesive pad in the middle, pop it apart from the side slits, paint, and glue back together.IMG_20180222_130807.jpg IMG_20180222_130852.jpg

Truck looks great and...

I just painted the ram head black on my badge so that just the exterior ring is chrome. Looks pretty cool. My plan is to remount it on my AM grill once it comes in. Might even use the new 2019 ram emblem.

Thanks man

Any pics of your emblem? Did you just tape it off? Thought about doing something similar for the rear emblem since i put black vinyl on the chrome lettering, but it is one piece unfortunately.

Been awhile, but finally had some time and sunshine to give the truck a bath and get some pics with the sun blasting on the grille. All I did was use some vht matte black enamel and gave a couple quick ***** to some silver parts behind the grille. It's definitely see through, but I think it's not too bad.IMG_20180407_175431.jpg IMG_20180407_175450.jpg IMG_20180407_175459.jpg

Looks good. If you want to see less of what's on each side of the shutters behind your new grille, I made a template that I used to cut out some black plastic sign board that now hides everything on each side for a nice clean look. I can mail you a copy of my template if your interested.

So, how do you like how your grille project turned out?
It's been quite a journey lol. I'm happy with the grille. I think it looks better in low light vs. bright sun. I'd still probably prefer a quality, metal raptor type grille, but that's not an option so it is what it is.
