About 2 weeks ago i bought these taillights off of craigslist for $150.

I didn't like how the black housing just stuck out so much with my truck being red so I put my stock taillights back on and sold these for the $150 I paid for them. No money lost!

So I went and got these yesterday. Same exact style lights, but with a red lense. Picked these up for only $100!! What a deal, they are practically brand new.

I think the red lense version just looks so much cleaner on my red truck. I'm really happy I sold the black set and bought these red ones. Way happier with how they look on my truck!

Here are some comparison pictures:

I agree, looks a lot cleaner with the red. But, what about when you wrap it?

Looks good!
Thanks man... slowly coming along. I have a 6" Rough Country lift sitting in my living room waiting for warm weather to start that install lol. Also in the process of sourcing a 2500 hood, front bumper, grille and bumper fillers for under the headlights. Once I get all of the 2500 parts for the front end its getting wrapped in Vvivid vinyl. I havnt made a final decision on the color I'm going with just yet, but no reason to paint the 2500 parts and waste money when I want to wrap the truck. I also want to do a metal mesh grille insert but I don't want to waste the money on one for a 1500 when I'm doing the 2500 swap. So a lot of future mods are on hold until I find the parts to do the 2500 front end swap.

I've got so many plans lol. Can't wait.

really like these red ones. I know they PnP with the non-LED trucks, any issues with hyper flash?

I currently have sport LEDs but there are problems on the 17's with the aftermarket harnesses im using...thinking about selling and going a different route

Thanks. That was my thought exactly. Black was too much contrast.

No issues at all. And if for some reason down the road an LED burns out or the resistor goes bad, the taillights have screws on the back so you can easily open them up and replace any of the components inside without having to bake them or cut them open. Super easy to repair.

But yea , no hyper flash and zero issues. I've had a few sets of "eBay" taillights on my 2 rams now and I've never had a problem with any of them.

Yea, they cost $165 new on eBay. I picked these up for $100, it was such a killer deal! I couldn't believe it.

I've paid for a ton of my upgrades by buying my first couple mods, then selling the stock parts I took off and using that money to either buy more parts and continued the cycle. Example: This is what I did with my current wheel setup, 20x9 Fuel Octanes with 33x12.50 Federal Couragia's. I got them for free, no wait, I MADE $200 lol. When I bought my truck, I took the aftermarket rims from my old 2006 Ram (that I got for free by selling that trucks stock wheels for the amount I paid for the ATX rims) and put them on my current truck. Then did an even trade for stock 20" chrome clads. Then I got an insane deal on a set of Authentic OEM 22" SRT-10 Wheels with brand new Bridgestone tires for $800, and sold the stock chrome clads for $850. I MADE $50 lol. Then 2 weeks ago I met 2 Ram owners at once. I sold my SRT-10 wheels for $1,200 to the 1 guy while at the same time buying the 20" Fuels with the 33's for $1,000. I ended up making $200 on the last deal lol.

But yea I've done a ton of trading over the 18 months I've had my 2 Rams. Its worked out really well for me and I'm hoping the trend continues as I'm willing to trade my 2012 PR4 Flame Red painted front end (hood, grille, bumper) for a 2500 HD front end.

I'm actually going to take mine off this week and mess around with the wiring inside. As they come from the manufacturer now, the C-Bars are the running lights with the 3 rows of LEDs running 40% as the running lights and 100% as the turn signal. So my plan is to switch it all around and make the C-Bar's run at 40% for the running lights and then go to 100% the turn signals and then the 3 rows of LED's become the running lights at 40% and then go to 100% for the brakes. I think it would look so killer.
