Anyone got the part number for the Grid Heater for a 2013 6.7? With all this talk about the bolt loosening up and dropping into the cylinder I'm thinking it may be cheap insurance to just to replace it entirely. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the newer model years so getting rid of the original one will make me feel a little better. Can't seem to find a part number for a replacement anywhere, all I can find are deletes. Deleting may also be an option, but living in Northern New York kinda keeps that as a last resort.

Http://cppdiesel.com has them.

But... Instead of buying a new $160 part, what about removing the intake and fuel rail, cleaning the soot off the grid, and maybe welding the nut? That would ensure you dont have any problems, and save some moolah.

Thank you. I don’t know if welding the nut will work. Some people claim the bolt is breaking, others are saying its just coming loose. Won’t really know till I get the chance to tear it apart. I don’t mind spending the $160 if it saves from having to replace the $10k motor.
