So what are you guy using for a cold air intake on your 6.4 hemi ? I've got a 2017 2500 4x4 . It's still under warranty so will this effect warranty? I had a k&N on my last ram . I didn't gain a bunch of power or gas milage , but it was a much smoother throttle response & definitely Mad it more fun to drive .
What's your thoughts?
Thanks [emoji1303]

Doesn't seem to be alot out there yet for the 6.4. I know K&N makes one but that's all I'm aware of so far.

I'm sure if Chrysler could pick up 16+ free and easy HP by tweeking the intake box they'd do it. Just that claim alone is absurd. So I file this into the scam category. I'd be more impressed if the company claimed something like 4 hp. At least you could take their claims seriously.

K&N filters that bypass the filter box may be less restrictive, but then you lose the 'pressureized' effect that Chrysler has engineered into their intake system. Spend your good money on other things.

power numbers are usually best case scenario. although more flow comes at a compromise of more induction noise. just like the restrictive mufflers they use on the exhaust to quiet the Hemi roar we love they sacrifice intake flow to quiet down induction sound in the cab. so they may of voluntarily lost a few hp to make a quieter intake set up

X2 on the oiled filters. Not real sure what's out there for the 6ltr but IMHO a better filter alone would be all you need. You could also remove some the restriction and sound dampening inside your factory box and get a slight improvement. Like someone above said, I Chrysler could get more out of it without sacrificing the decibel level they would.

It's all depends on how restrictive the stock air intake system is. If it's very restrictive then an aftermarket kit can do wonders. I like the idea of this

https://www.octanemotorsports.com/2...MI8L-1ktGs1gIVBbnACh2RHQCLEAQYAyABEgKuH_D_BwE

With the K&N kit but with a AFE dry filter with a bag.
And with this mod=

I think that would be a good set up.
Of course some
Issue"s would need to be addressed such as snow/rain getting to the filter, but that's what the bag would help with. On previous "cone style" filters I have ran, I always put a section of woman's leggings over them for added protection and to help keep the filter clean of big debris.

I purchased a used K&n off this forum and installed on a neighbors 6.4 2016. The only issue I had was they have a MAF slot that I had to make a custom blockoff plate for as my neighbors 6.4 didn't have the sensor. I also see it in the AFe posted here... look at the bottom side facing the radiator. 2 bolts and a 1/4"x2" slot. They show it plugged with a sensor in the installed pics but my neighbors truck didn't have it. It's a 2016 3500 mega with the 6.4.

I have it and it really surprised me, I didn't expect much but the throttle response was noticeable
