Can u tell where its leaking from exactly?
Clean it up and see where its coming from. Maybe from the pan itself? Maybe the gasket to the p asn is bad.
If you're not comfortable dealing with, take it in. You're still under warranty.
Torque converter went out st 9k? Does he tow? I dont know what material the gaskets made of.I'm taking it to the dealer. If it was out of warranty I'd mess with it. I don't think it's the pan. Kinda hard of oil to travel uphill? Funny it never did it before (been under the truck enough times doing the oil and fuel filters, and to wash the salt off from the winters) my father had a 2016 cummins also, and his torque converter went at about 9k, and he babies his trucks, I use the right pedal [emoji23], is the trans pan gasket rubber or fiber?

But keep us posted, I'm curious now.

The transmission pan is sealed with RTV and does not normal leak unless the pan has been hit. That doesn't mean it can't happen just that it is less common than other leaks.
That's why I asked. A fiber gasket I could see developing a leak. O-ring or rtv (which I didn't even think of) shouldn't just randomly start leaking. It seems to be trailing back from the bell housing, which leads me to think either a seal went inside the front pump? Or the torque converter is developing a crack... I called the dealer. But who I needed to talk to was gone already when I called. So I left a voicemail. It had to just start also. As there's not a lot dust/dirt stuck to it (my work has a dirt parking lot since all the stones have long disappeared) and the stick still reads full. But with fresh oil dripping off, something isn't far from puking (which at this point. Let it puke. It's under warranty and then I know it will be fixed and not told its normal lol)

You may want to pull the inspection cover off and see if there is fluid in the bellhousing which would confirm your suspicion of a converter leak. The pump on these transmissions are behind a plate that has a seal that could be leaking. The cover also has an outer o-ring that can leak, although I have not run into that yet.
If the bolts were not corroded/rusty I would (thanks ny state road salt/calcium cloride/brine) don't want someone to say "you messing with that voids the warranty blah blah blah

I left upstate NY many years ago because of that rusted crap. I feel your pain.
2nd winter and it's like ugggg when I look under it, my Chevy was worse thou. I hate wax dipped frames with a passion

ABSOLUTELY! The pos 15 Silverado had that and everywhere I jacked it on the frame it knocked chunks of wax off and the frame rusted.
Thanks for reminding me of another reason I'm very glad to be rid of that truck!
Exactly where mine was with about 32k miles a couple months ago. Dealer replaced the pan gasket.
