hey guys I recently installed my bed cover the revolver X4 from Bak Industries and I'm having a slight problem at the tailgate not being able to close I'm still having the problem even with some slight adjustments such as raising the rails...
I wanted to file down the tailgate topper but it still would not come close to closing... went back and redid the whole process and still was getting the same problem anybody have any ideas or has anyone run into this problem with this bed cover???

My only experience with back was their customer service. I purchased their bak box but the measurements were wrong.

I placed a phone call and emailed a few pictures. They sent the correct part right away.

Maybe something was cut wrong size/length on your kit.

You’ll probably get more visibility on this elsewhere on the forum. Nothing power wagon specific about your issue.

I mean I left it on there installed for like 3 days it's just a problem at the top of the tailgate I can lift up the real a little bit and squeeze the tail get in but it's annoying to do that every time and I'm personally not a big fan of this matte black..
I got it through Amazon I have till May 13th to send it back looks like I'm just going to refund it.... thanks for your help guys if anybody else has any ideas Monday it's coming off and going back in the box

Pics would help. I've got the revolver as well, fits fine as long as I made sure the rails were pushed up toward the front of the bed as much as possible.

No ram box here a couple pics .. also in the one pic you guys will see that real nasty crease that I saw as I rolled out the cover... I don't know what to say I just feel like the measurements are off by millimeters... the left side doesn't sit completely inside the track as it rolls down... I have installed two of these style covers before one on my dad's Tacoma and one on my buddies Silverado everything was aligned perfectly but for some reason this one is giving me problems... and just to add that if I pull up the rails little bit I can close the tailgate barely but then the cover has a hard time latching on and closing down I got a really bang the crap out of it

hmm, I know on mine I bent the ends up just slightly where the tailgate is. That crease is odd though. You reach out to Bak yet?

I just went back retighten everything and kind of bent up the rails going down the sides and also I took pliers to the back of the rails and bent them up just slightly and as of right now I have an extreme tight fit..might just stick with it...

I had a similar issue with my Revolver X2, but only on the passenger side. I ended up using a wooden paint stir stick as a shim, in between the aluminum tonneau rail and the truck bed rail, back near the tailgate. The shim helped to "square up" the aluminum rail with the top of the truck bed, which gave me just enough clearance to close the tailgate without it hitting the tonneau rail.

Not at all the sort of tweeking I expected to have to do after spending over $800.00 for a bed cover, but it worked.

I had similar issues when installing mine. It was a bit too narrow and also hit the tail gate when closing. Ended up removing all the rubber pads along the sides of the rails and that solved the spacing and tilting in rails for easy rolling and tail gate closing.
