Meaning is this even a possibility or are they solely doing 3.21 ?

3:92 is still an option. If your not doing heavy towing, test drive the 3:21. Doubt you would notice the difference between the 2.

3.92’s are a no brainer, it’s only like $100 option, yet to add them later would cost big $$

@DRkNESS you’ve been thru so much and waited this long, maybe you should just order the exact truck you want

^^^. You are correct about that as I do have two other cars that I can use while I wait. :)

I wish I had known enough to get 3.92 instead of 3.21 for the added towing capacity.
Especially for the price difference.

Ok just another update I do have the 3.92 gears and you folks were right I did not notice a difference between that and the truck with 3.21. Although I can say according to my dash I’m getting 14.5 miles around town lol.

I have the 3.92 Gears...I get about 17 to 18 Mpg in Town and 20 to 21 Highway. I had a 2011 6 speed with 3.55 gear it about the same with in a mpg or so both in and out of town.

I'm about to order mine, finally. Even though I tow maybe 8,000 miles a year (enclosed car trailer), I think I'm going with the 3.21's as I'm also going with the E-torque hemi. If I was going with a lift and bigger diameter tires I'd go with the 3.92's. I don't need another lifted vehicle (Jeep in avatar).

I had a 16 Ram Sport with 3.92s and had the same gas mileage. All in how you drive.

And why I ordered a 19 Ram with 3.92s. At first I drove a 3.21 19 Ram and it was very impressive for 3.21. I had to double check the window sticker. Lol

Agree like wise.....the 3.92 is really nice when pulling any thing on wet grass or gavel with any weight. The gear does fine with MPG gallon and only 95 bucks extra when ordering a new truck.
I drove a 3.21 not long ago and was very impressed as to how it ran too.

When I started this posting it seemed every vehicle I drove had 3.21 gears. Which mated with that 8 speed was more then fine for my needs. But since I never owned nor test drive one to compare, I opted to grab one as follows to be safe lol.99c8b6003ae4dd855a04e2ef78997ecf.jpg
