least I don't have to feel my insides cringe when I hit the brakes these days

If you want to really step it up for about $150-$200, do a hydro boost swap. Perfectly consistent braking all the time, no more mushy air brakes

Well that’s no good haha. Hydroboost won’t fix that though

I gotta farm out the flsh, no telling how much I'd **** it up if I persisted....but a good indie with the knowledge that all the bolts are ****** will prolly put heat to it and swap out the bolts....thats what I would try....but I'm a driveway mechanic Spending all that **** on tools just to use once doesn't seem smart.

You have an 06, you’ll use the tools more then once I guarantee it. Lol.

I hear ya though, I was going to buy a plasma cutter but the price of it outweighs the return I would get from the few small jobs I’d use it for.

Finally tracked down my headlight issue. The main control relay for my kit got some water in it and corroded a pin. I think it was my fault for where I placed it. I emailed The Retrofit Source about buying a replacement since it was my own fault and they said don’t worry, it was all covered under their warranty. I just had to send in a picture of the harness and show that I destroyed the original harness (I actually had to remove the harness and cut it off at the connector) and they would send a new one free of charge. Thankfully it wasn’t the dreaded TIPM or front control module! f12db78bc7fb1fa379015878dc16f69a.jpg

Absolutely. The first time I found the relay itself corroded so I had them send me a new one. Once I got it, the light still wouldn’t work. I played around with the harness and it would work if I bent the wires. So I knew the harness was bad. Sent them an email about it and got a response within 24 hours. I HIGHLY recommend them for doing a HID projector kit, they are awesome

Got quite a bit of work done today! Now I gotta wait on a few parts to show up, but this should almost be done with the rebuild! e55aea5ca6d6328db8ac3b8cc4c48c39.jpg

Last Friday I turned into my driveway & heard metal on metal grinding, clinking etc, & my wheel locked up a couple times for 2 - 3 seconds. So today I pulled drivers rear tire, rotor, & parking brake chowda fell upon the ground. Took everything else out & put back together. Took passenger rear off, this side was a *****. Was like parking brake engaged. Took about an hour to get that rotor off. This side all complete. But I tore parking brake assembly out & slapped rotor back on, tire & good to go. No more parking brake. Fine with me, bought truck in 05 & not once did I ever use parking brake.

Looking mean indeed. Time to paint those headlights!
Washed and waxed her last night, only to have my dad mow and grass thrown all over her this morning haha. Also said **** it and bedlined the grille until I get a new one color matched. Shes looking pretty mean if I do say so myself.

Ayy, I know how that is. :/ now my left brake light's fried again. Running with no brake lights is a pain and a ticket waiting to happen. Not to mention my ac is still out. And I should probably do header bolts some time.

And on and on.

Side note, tried to tow someone out of a ditch and wished I had 4x4. Or at least a longer chain so I could've started on the tarmac. Luckily a Cummins mega came along with the right drivetrain.

Theyre good for right now. No big mods for now as my daily grand cherokee is out of commission.
