Just ordered T i3 Hemifever tune for my 4.7

So after going back and forth for 3 years, finally pulled the trigger on the tuner. My truck needs a fan clutch, fuel econ boost, and been struggling with the Duratracs. The OEM Fanclutch is like $3-400 from my locals Chryslers, and the tuner was $480, so no-brainer. Fan clutch delete plus a whole lot more...

Excited to see how the truck responds...

Good luck with the uupgrades. Let us know what you think about the tune. It may take 2 or 3 tune file updates from HF to optimize the tune to your truck.

Good luck with the uupgrades. Let us know what you think about the tune. It may take 2 or 3 tune file updates from HF to optimize the tune to your truck.
I'm interested to see how the 4.7 responds to it, I have read that people see more out of the 4.7 than they do the 5.7, and I see a lot of people loving it on the 5.7... So it will be interesting. I don't race the truck, its just a daily driver, just little more power to be enjoyable, ever since the bigger tires, and aggressive tread, and other small mods, the truck has gotten quite bogged down.

Woke the 5.7 up or did you have a 4.7? I have read that the 4.7 responds better to tunes than 5.7

My biggest concern is blowing up my trans, I have the 6 speed and I guess their rated to 410 hp, and I'll never achive that.

I agree though, as soon as I leveled, put on body lift and bigger tires it has definitely lost the oomph (if it ever had it )

Before you try installing it on your truck, hook it up to your computer, go to Diablosport's website, and upload the latest updated files for your programmer.

I have a 5.7. For me it was like a completely different truck. I wouldn’t worry about the 6 speed, I’ve towed my 4000lb TT with my tune and my 6 speed is fine. Just avoid WOT downshifts on the highway and change your fluid regularly and you’ll be fine.

I have a 5.7. For me it was like a completely different truck. I wouldn’t worry about the 6 speed, I’ve towed my 4000lb TT with my tune and my 6 speed is fine. Just avoid WOT downshifts on the highway and change your fluid regularly and you’ll be fine.
I have a bad habit of hard accel downshift, but also don't have 5.7, not sure if that means anything

I would try to manually downshift before hammering it. The overdrive clutch pack is the weak link and there have been many failures because of wot downshifts. The 4.7 has less torque than the 5.7, but I believe it still has the ability to fry the OD clutches.

BUT there are also many examples of highly modified Rams doing track runs on a stock RFE trans with no issues.

Ill do that from now on... the 4.7 stock has 330 ftlb
