That just means you have to cut SOMETHING with the plasma cutter tomorrow! Even if the ramp lock frees up, buy some sheet metal or something.
Oh, I think she's welded in there now. I just had it glowing red. Aluminum innards prob melted. POS!

Nothing makes your heart smile like seeing Joy in your sons eye while he learns somthing from you. Have fun.

Today my 3 year old finally “gets it” on how to steer our ford 1500 tractor. He even started looking down at the front wheels to see were they are pointed.

He learned to drive the zeroturn (seriously drives it through and around the woods) before somthing with a steering wheel.

Side note. This 1982 ( i think) ford 1500 has less than 500 hours on it

There's no doubt about that. It's the crazy-coolest thing when you find that one thing they can't get enough of. For my son, it was plasma cutting the rusty bolts and cross members off for the bed swap on my '67 and '70 C/K10s. He just thought that was the cat's ass. Been very interested in that and mig welding since.

I wonder how long the original owner had the tach unhooked for??? lol Mind you also that most tractor hour meters are only accurate at the engine rpm to spin the pto at 540 rpms. So an hour isn't always an hour on a tractor if it spends a lot of time under the rated rpm. That's why all the new digital **** has multiple hour meters (total engine hours, hours at rated rpm, etc.) You could have thousands of total run time, but only hundreds of hours at "working" rpm's.

Not that it really matters though, on older tractors a lot can be determined on appearances alone.

This was my pride and joy. It was my grandfathers farm tractor that I restored for him a few years back. I've had several tractors but this was my favorite.

My wife & I will both be driving Vintage restored tractors in the Carlsbad , NM. Memorial Day Parade come Monday [emoji16]

Her Pops has 23 old tractors that he restors as a hobby , lots of them with old spring seats and even a few with giant steel wheels .

Not sure what I'll be driving this year .
I'll post some pictures up here come Monday [emoji106]

When I sold my last house the buyer wanted my 55hp Newhollad and paid me a extra 15k for it.
So bought a new one just smaller.
You sold your Cummins for a 1500 gasser, now this. I'm seeing a trend. Is the house smaller too? Haha

Lol it sure is, only 2,500sq ft vs 2900sq ft and a Ranch instead of a 2 story.
4 acres less ground as well.

I like your views better. I’m on the west side of Chicago waiting for a load. It’s either look at the trailers or the dead bodies lol

Iv got exactly 2,000. I measured it ALL a few months ago and i feal like i have way more house than i need AND want. I want 1500sqft house and a big barn.

The ONLY......ONLY 2 reasons i was ok with buying this house was i liked the woods and my wife liked the house.... i dont. The good thing is I don't care about the house. I could live in a barn.

Man I feel your pain , all our kids are out of the house now and 3200 SQ feet is way way to big for us now !
I'll be selling soon , my goal is a 2k house or a bit less and a 30X40 shop or more ! I have a 26' X30' shop now , but I want more ...

I built mine so I kinda measured it all out as well. :)
it was bigger than we were after but really liked the floor plan, its 1500 sq ft on the first floor them the rest is in the finished basement so if feels more like just living in 1500 sq ft than 2 500.

then just went with a 30x30 extra garage , last one was 40x60 so sized it down as well.

We went from 2600 sq/ft on 1/8 acre to 1500 sq/ft on 4 acres. Plenty of room for the wife and I, plus I can hunt my own property. Still waiting to build a 3-4 car garage. Couldn't be happier though.

Maybe recycle some of you're used oil into the work van, see what happens. If it goes south just shrug you're shoulders and say I don't know man, you know it's been noisey for awhile.

I used to use old engine oil to paint wooden fences back in the days.

So back to oil. I am thinking that I should change the Diff. Fluid in my 1500 4x4. Think I am going with RL all the way around. Front and rear along with Tranny. Which weight of oils should I use for it all?

front is 1.5 quarts of 75w90
rear is a little over 2.5 quarts of 75w140
trans is ATF and capicity depends on trans
