When I take mine in they hand me the key to any truck on the yard that I want. I usually take a used or demo truck simply because when I buy a “new” truck I don’t want any miles on it.

Must be different in MD. Texas they give you a loaner comparable to what you have if the repair takes more than a day.
It’s dealership discretion. Ours offers a comparable vehicle if one is available. But loaners are not “deserved” by anyone, as they’re not covered by the standard warranty. If you have an extended service contract, that’s another story.

And that's what I've got...should be the first "mod" anyone gets these days!

Courtesy vehicles are exactly that, a courtesy offered by doing business with that particular dealership. Most dealers around me have working relationships with rental businesses, like Enterprise and Hertz. Most dealers around me have a 3 days policy. If the repair is going to take longer than 3 days they'll put you in a rental. It's usually a mid sized car or small SUV. Really it's what the rental agency has available on their lot at the time.

Only dealers around me that use in stock vehicles as courtesy loaners are Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Infinity, Volvo. Might be others, but those are the ones I know about.

Yep...Grapevine CDJR here in the DFW Metroplex does rentals for loanin' while Autobahn Porsche in Fort Worth uses inventory on hand.

I brought my truck into to the local Ram dealer in Fairfax, VA on May 31st for an oil change, Stupid black sticker crap between the windows, front parking sensor warning message and something loose under the dash. About once a month I would get a warning message saying front parking sensors in operable, please wipe off. then the message would go away. they always worked other than the message popping up once in a while. I was 1st told the part was back ordered until 6-18. yesterday I was told the part is due in at the end of June now. Beside that the truck was finally in the body shop yesterday to deal with the sticker crap(2nd time I brought it in for it). Took 18 days to get it in for this. And they say they can't duplicate the rattle under the dash. They did give me a rental. Which is was pretty stoked on. I commute from Wash DC to my home in Va Bch, VA every weekend. Driving the rental is saving me 500 miles a week on my truck, but dam I miss my truck. A Compass is not the same as a Larieme Ram 1500....
At least they can fix yours I have a 2016 eco diesel and since may I have gotten to drive my truck 7 days then it breaks down again and goes into limp mode and they wont fix it because they can't figure out what is wrong with the boost pressure sensor. This all started 6 months after I bought this truck new in 2016 I am having to have them take it back under lemon law

Today has been 35 days. Funny I have already started thinking about that. I was online looking at Laramie and Longhorn 6.4 2500's last night. I had a 2015 Tradesman 2500 and loved it.

Starting to think about that. Not sure how the buy back thing works, but its been in the shop for 33 days now. My patience is starting to wear thin. I miss my truck! They did switch my to a Nissan Frontier for a loaner, but I'm a big guy. Its not near as comfy as my Laramie Crew cab... I had a 2015 Tradesman 2500 6.4 and loved that engine. Would be nice to get the towing capacity back.

Each state has their own guidelines for the lemon law process. I would Google your state lemon laws. I am sure that will let you know where to start. I know some have used a lawyer that specializes in the lemon law and buy back.

My truck was still under the factory bumper to bumper warranty, so I let them deal with it. I saw it sitting in front of the dealer on a Sunday and got a pic. I like how it looks. Now I can get some vent visors since the bubbled crap is taken care of

I guess I’m still confused, was yours bubbling or wrinkled, or somethin? As I said, it didn’t take me long to decide I didn’t like it and yanked all that crap off.

had bubbles. brought it in around November a few months after I bought it. told them just the drivers side was messed up and passenger side was fine. I told them I was ok with them just removing it and not replacing it. they said they had to replace it. they went ahead and re-did the whole truck. They ended up with a bubbles on the passenger side. This time I just asked to have he passenger side redone and they asked if I really wanted the sticker replaced. I said no

Well I was supposed to get my truck back today. Now they’re hoping the part comes in July 19th. It went in on May 31st. Starting to get pissed off!
