Alls they did was set the toe I bet . The slight camber change is probably just a by product of the change in the toe setting on the right side. Should still be a larger difference in the caster setting side to side. Passenger side should be higher than the drivers side by more than the .1 degree that you have now. 3.9 is OK for passenger side but dr side could be lower to establish the better setting. No reason for anything to be in the red with any Bilstein setting
I called them to ask what the hell. Answer I got was "we only deal with OEM. With a lift or lowering kit we only touch toe"

I had words for them. I paid normal price for a 4 wheel alignment when they can only do two and when I made the appointment I made it very clear the bilsteins were just installed. It even says on my receipt "NEW level kit installed" but yet it didn't dawn on them to mention they don't touch camber or caster in that case. I'm fighting to get my money back and I'll have to take it else where to get done correctly. Very annoying.

Just some rentals from advance auto. They were pushing it on the truck but as long as you are careful they worked fine.

It's the first I've heard of any place having an extreme policy like that, its not like I put a 7" lift on it. If they want to have a local policy to not do modified suspension that's on them and I won't argue, but you should notify your customer before you take their money. That's more the part that ****** me off about it.

I agree, can’t believe they didn’t tell you that up front. Must be s store policy not a company policy.

My truck has 6” lift plus Bils set to max with 37’s and Firestone aligned my truck, the offroad shop that did my lift uses them exclusively since they are right down the street, it’s never a problem.

^^^^ that would be the way to pursue the fix. Find a local offroad shop and see if they can give you their contact for the alignments they do for the lifts they install.

That's a pretty crazy policy. I had mr. Tire do my first alignment With my bils installed and they did everything. When the shop installed my zone 6 they did the alignment and I'll probably just continue to go back to them from now on. Best bet would probably be to find an off road shop

I had one place that wouldn't de an alignment on my truck after I installed the Bilsteins, but I went to a local Goodyear shop and they did it with no problems.

That is a real BS excuse . It takes no more to align a leveled truck than a stock . Its the same procedure on either . If you changed a lower control arm on a stock 1500 caster and camber need to be readjusted . That is one sad shop you are dealing with. Caster and camber are as much part of an alignment as toe in . Toe in is the last adjustment when doing an alignment . Naturally its more often that only toe in adj is needed but they were paid damn well for only doing a toe adjustment . Some times you actually have to do what you were paid to do if you actually call it an alignment not just setting toe in .

Completely agree. They will never get business from me. That's for damn sure. If talking to the manager doesn't get the job done right or money refunded then I'll be on the phone with their corporate office.

I have had my shocks sitting in garage a few years now. Finally went to the garage near my house to get them installed. Price was good but when I asked about an alignment he told me it wouldn't need one???? Haven't been back since. That shop has been there at least 20 years that I know of too

You're not the first there has been a couple guys on here that have had shops install them wrong. Also rember that little washer goes below the upper mount. Had a few guys that shops put that washer underneath the nut and the shaft pushed up thru the upper mount cap

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^has happened many Many MANY times , usually resulting in a light clunking sound early on but sometimes takes several thousand miles depending on driving style and rough terrain .[emoji1303][emoji1303]

That’s one benefit of the Bilstein 6112’s, the shaft is actually a larger dia than stock versus smaller dia like the 5100’s.....no washer required :)

Just an update for everyone. They agreed to take the truck back and do the alignment correctly. His argument was that their computer can't compensate for the geometry change so while the report will show green it's not actually correct to the modified system. Still a bs excuse in my opinion. A straight wheel is a straight wheel but I'm no 4 wheel suspension expert. I'm way better with motorcycle suspension.

Scratch that called and said he can't do it. Will refund my money. *******. I would have paid someone to do it yesterday if he just refunded up front. Now I have a 300 mile round trip drive tomorrow with a load in the bed and a trailer.
