Does anyone know where to get a stubby antenna that will work in the truck. The only stuff I can find that is the length I like is the silly 50. Cal bullet antennas, help please?

Walmart sells a 10 inch rubber one that works almost as well as the stock buggy whip. About 10 bucks..

I seen something similar at Canadian tire but I tried it out in the truck and I got nothing but white noise from the radio

I think that all depends where you live. I live in a city I didnt notice a change at all. The long stock one is always going to get better range.... you compromise the range for the look some.

I am in the city. Maybe I'll try that and hopefully it'll work out because the cheaper universal one from Canadian tire I got was not very good, lol the satalite radio cut out even more than before but the radio was not bareable. But thank you for the direction good sir

Old post I know, but I had a silver buggy whip on my '96 Jeep Cherokee back in the day and hated how it was always whipping back and forth. I cut it in half with a bolt cutter and slipped on a plastic tip I had. I still got good reception but I used to never leave the city. I eventually took it off and put on a 14" rubber ducky from a chain auto parts store. That worked great.
