Ok , so I want to put 35's under my 2014 Ram reg. cab HEMI 4x4. I want to know which is the best way to lift my truck? I see all sides of the possibilities , level kit vs. lifted vs. Bilstiens! Which way do I go? let me hear your pros/cons!

With a regular cab I would go with Bilstein 6112’s set to max height 2.60” lift , rear Bilstein 5160 with reservoirs, then add the 1.25” body lift to make the 4” lift. I would also add the Zone upper control arms for a complete package.

If you like some rake add the ICON 1.5” rear coils. However with a reg cab I imagine you have a 3” height difference front to rear (my 2011 did)

I don’t recommend suspension lifts on Regular Cabs because I have seen/heard about vibrations and other issues, some manufacturers even say not for regular cabs.

Ok, I wanted that same set up and was told it was overkill and if I am not off-roading heavily each weekend the shocks are too much shock for my needs.

I am so in the air on what I want now. Maybe I'll just break down and go 4" zone lift but I want to keep in my budget... aaarrrgggghhhh!!!

I have the 6112’s on mine too, rides smooth

is a Zone 4" gonna level my truck also?

Measure your front and rear fender heights from ground to center of fender opening and tell us what the difference is between the two

I second what JB1 has said about struts and 1.5" or 3" body lift. I have a 4" BDS lift and they told me that I wouldn't have any rear drive train vibration with the 3" rear coils. Wrong.. I since then took the 3" coils out and put in the 2" coil spacers. The vibration isn't as bad now with that setup. With our RCSB the 3" rear coils raised my rear end 3.75" due to the fact our trucks are lighter.

When I talked to Super Lift they didn't recommend the 4" kit unless I was buying rear adjustable control arms to correct the pinion angles. They also said a 6" kit is a no no even with rear adjustable control arms.

So IMHO if a 4" kit is a must have make sure the 2" rear coil spacers will get you level. My truck is dead level with rear coil spacers and then I added the Zone 1.5" body lift to gain a little bit more height.

I have a 14 RC SB 1500 4x4 . I have so far had , Rancho quick lift and Rancho rear shocks . Not quite the ride I was after with about 2.25 " lift and a 1" rear spacer with 12.50 35-20s BFG KO2s . Couldnt get enough rebound control unless I went stiffer with the shock setting then it was to much on compression. I also have a zone 1.5" BL . I then went all Bilstein 5100. Not bad at 1.4 setting and 3/4" rear spacer. I have been fighting a vibration at 65 mph plus since I put the tires on. Out of desperation I lowered the front to .7 like a trx and removed the rear spacers . Road great again, suspension actually absorbed some of the bumps in the highway instead of transmitting them. I think my biggest mistake was keeping the OE 20" wheels instead of doing my normal switching to a 17" wheels. If I had it to do again I would go with a real lift kit . To many people around here have vibe issues with leveling kits on 1500 Rams. Some shops are not installing them because of it . If I don't find an older power wagon I like soon I will be putting in the 3" body lift thats been sitting in the garage for a year and going with 17" wheels

So do I really need the 1.25' body lift to fit the 35's or can I get by without the body lift? I'm gonna do this myself and I dont have the help to do a body lift!

Everyone has there own definition of “fitment” but yes you don’t need the BL to bolt up some 35’s, I was merely suggesting what I personally would do

I put my 35s on initially with just Bilsteins set at 2.1 and it looked like a 2wd with big tires. I then added a 1.5 " Zone Body lift and it started looking like a 4wd 1500 should of from the factory . Now with the 3" PA body lift it looks more like one of my trucks now.
