Thanks for the quick reply guys. I'm glad it's nothing to worry about. And I absolutely don't want that oil back in my engine. The catch can is an amazing device. Highly recommended.
So, I have had my BT Catch Can installed for a few weeks to a month now. I have checked it twice and both times the oil is a mocha color and looks like coffee with creamer in it. I have seen a lot of people's oil in their catch cans have been dark and nasty. Just wanted to know if this sounds...
Is it required to keep the HEMI engine cover on? The BT catch can is a very easy install. Only thing I had to do was trim the hoses that came with it because they were a little long. Ordered mine from Moes, I would highly recommend.
If you are in MN I'm guessing SD won't be much better. I"m sure I will end up just welding it instead of worrying about checking it and making sure nothing is coming loose.
Yeah sorry I didn't explain that very well. I placed the sealant around the outside of the pipe that I hooked the muffler up to so it would have in between the two pipes.
Put on the Muffler a couple days ago. I used the 3" exhaust clamp on the front and didn't use the one Mufflex provides. I tightened up all the clamps with an air ratchet and still noticed some small leaking coming from the front of the muffler where that 3" clamp is. Is it a big issue having...
Is there any real issue with a little exhaust leak? I just put on a Mufflex dod14m and noticed a little leaking and I even tightening them as much as possible with an air ratchet.
Eraser wheel is a must. I learned that after spending a couple hours trying to pull the 3m tape off with my fingers when it was pretty cold out. I also left the HEMI badge but I might take it off to make it look even cleaner, haven't decided yet though.
I would say I use my truck more like Scott. I use the bed for hauling groceries and things to that nature at the moment. I'm sure in the future I will haul more things like dirt, wood, etc. So it will be used more like an everyday truck than a work truck. How long has everyone had their BedRugs?
Hey guys, I've been looking into either getting a spray in bed liner or going the route of the BedRug. Anyone here have experience with the BedRug? If so how do you like it? Rhino lining is pretty popular here. How does rhino lining match up with line-x?
Thanks in advance.
3" clamp arrived from summitracing. I would do this install now but I'm waiting to do it with my dad. My dad has the same truck as I do, only in black, and after doing these mods on my truck I'm hoping he will want to do them as well. And I just received an email from Moes saying my BT Catch...
You'll absolutely love it. Easy install and instant gains. I can't give any advice on the 14" Magnaflow but I have the Mufflex Dod14m sitting in my house waiting for me to install it when I get time. If it was me I would pull the trigger on the muffler as well :)
Any idea what the orange stuff is called? I thought about just picking up some of this stuff...

Muffler arrived today. Now I get to stare at it until I have time to put it on. I'm not sure whats worse, anticipating a performance mod arriving at your house, or staring at it until you have time to put it on. I did order a 3" clamp from summitracing so I'm waiting for that to arrive as well.
