Totally stock internals which is why I do not want to go over the 8lbs of boost. I also agree with you on the gauge. Does not seem to be very accurate when we compare to the HP tuning software.
I think the next step will be drop in pistons so I can turn up the boost a little. My tuner also told...
So here is a little better clip of my truck running and the exhaust. I hope to get some better driving vids tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I have been chasing and fixing all the small things the last month, bad clamps, bad welds that leak etc. I am now pushing 8lbs of boost
Not harsh at all! I value your opinion and the time you put in to find solutions.:worship: I feel we are both at about the same process for our kits. When I had mine tuned I told my tuner I wanted to be around 500 whp and he did on 6lbs and that is why I only run that much. So maybe with that...
I have seen alot of your videos and they are great, but I dont know if you did an ATI dampner with yours? But I know I was not slipping when i first got it done and I might also just need to adjust my tensioner as well. But if the problem persists I will also be getting the coating on my belt.
I think my belt is starting to slip on mine after about 2,000 miles on it. Napa carries the Gates supercharger belts now, so that was gonna be my next option.
The dyno run is without the supercharger, but with the longtube headers and carven exhaust. The other video is from this weekend on some back roads with my wife trying to get a good video lol She actually fell back in her seat when I took off.
I have a better camera now and hope to get some...
I have heard so may good and bad things about the E3 plugs that I am too scared to try them lol
I think I am gonna go with the Denso plugs and see what happens
Just wondering what kind of sparks plugs to run when putting a procharger on? Procharger themselves says to run 1 step colder plug, but when I asked my tuner he said they do not need to be changed. Just curious on everyones thoughts. Its a 2018 5.7
Sorry guys been super busy with some things and I did not get to dyno it at the car show like planned. But I will have a new dyno video next week.
I am not sure what you mean by corrected numbers? The elevation is '932
The dyno numbers are all over the place because that is from start of...
Sorry guys I got busy last night installing the gauges and pod. I'll be posting up more pictures once I get her cleaned up for the show this weekend:)
I do not have a good vid of it on t he dyno yet, but after this weekend I will and will post it up
Yes it did
So after a month of the truck being in the shop it is finally done. Procharger P1X Blower with the "race" BOV and HO intercooler, JBA longtube Headers w/o cats and an 87mm Moe's throttle body. Put down 515hp/533tq at the wheels on 6lbs of boost. I am extremley happy and the truck pulls like...
I have the JBA longtubes w/o cats and the carven competitor muffler and 5'' tips. It is VERY loud to the point just about everyone in town has told me how loud it is. Im thinking of trying a different muffler just to tone it down a bit.
Well after alot of research and learning from this forum I just didnt trust the 65rfe for boost. So I decided to start fresh.

Curious for the guys running supercharger or turbos, what gauges did you add? I was thinking boost and air/fuel wideband but I saw on a video that suggested a fuel pressure gauge? From most videos I see for boosted Ram's it does not seem like people add any gauges.
Pics would be awesome for ideas!
I have the heavy duty trans cooler and plan to do a 3.92 swap in the future. charonblk07 are you saying not to go into 5th or 6th gear? or just manually shift through them.
I have a 2013 5.7 6spd and I just got a great deal on a procharger set up for it but now I am having some second thoughts. I keep finding mixed reviews on if the transmission will hold up or not. I will not be taking this truck to a track or racing it anytime soon just wanted some more around...
