I live in NJ and all roads here suck. Bad. I have the QA1s set reeeeaallly soft (4 out of 18) in the rear and I still it's a nicer ride than the stock shock; I'm not sure if it's just preference or someone expecting some to handle like it's on rails and be comfortable but I can't complain...
Man, I was in your spot for over a YEAR before I just buckled down and did it... I was worry about ride quality more than anything else as I never tow with the truck but on the same hand, I wasn't looking to make my truck a full on SCCA competition machine; I wanted a good ride quality while...
Surprised no one answered this...
I had the wobble and it was fixed with just the rear sway bar. Start there before blowing your money on that other stuff (if all you want to do is get rid of the wiggle).
After hearing people complain about the clunking of the Spohn Panhard (nevermind having...
I guess I will be the brave soul to post first as the information I have is directly from the manufacturer (this is cut and pasted from a prior thread):
OK, just got off the phone with TIM at QA1 - he stated the REAR shock that would best fit our trucks need is (drum roll please) :
TS905
He...
I Second this as well as a general lowering thread for most of the common Question:
Which Lowering kit works best?
What's the difference between X, X and X kit?
Which shocks should I use? What part numbers for those shocks?
How will my truck ride?
Do I need to do the adjustable track...
Thank you! I gotta say though, the front end on the truck is stock; so that's how they come from the factory now (I only mention this as I see you have a 3rd Gen) :favorites13:
Ironically, they are wider but actually smaller in diameter (31.6" vs 32.1").
I was wondering if anyone has run a taller tire than stock - say like a 285/50r22 which is about an inch taller.
Thanks for the reply guys!
My idiot self should have probably specified that I am running the stock 22 R/T wheels as well, so any help with that would be appreciated too!!
I'm going to preface this by saying I did do a search to see what I could find but I didn't see any specific information...
So, what is the biggest diameter tire (withOUT rubbing) I can run on a truck with a 2/4 Belltech kit?
I see a lot of people running 305/??/22Rs but wasn't sure if...
I went with the belltech kit and QA1 Shocks :naughty:
Also, I gotta say that if you plan on going much over 70 MPH on anything other than a road as smooth as glass, the rear Hellwig Swaybar is a MUST.
Thanks Devin! :happy107:
I'm not into low riders or overly dropped vehicle but this ride height is how a "sport truck" should leave the factory to me; it fills in the wheel wells just right.
.... A lowered, black R/T :3681700201_eef6d1e2 lololol
This is the cleanest the truck has looked in the past month since I did the lowering kit, though I'm bummed the Car wash didn't do the tireshine :flipthebird:
2 things - 1) No, I'm probably not going to de-badge it because, even though I...
