    Dash Cracks

You could always get a coverlay if money permits, but i think the proper way to do is just to replace the dash with a new one eventually. My new one looks mint, but its really glossy. Not to mention when it gets real hot from sitting in the sun it likes to make little creaking and popping sounds...

    Dash Cracks

Looks like your only other alternative is JB weld then! lol I replaced mine with one from the dealer back in 07. It uses upgraded ABS plastic that will not crack. However, for some reason it is really glossy which produces a bad glare. I hate the carpeted dash covers too, but I found a suede...

    Should I be worried?

I thought I pretty much answered all of these questions the other day for you? There is a guy on ebay selling the plenum plate for $45.

    Torque Review

It would help with oil consumption and the longevity of your motor, but it won't really "boost" performance. Like I said, the only way you can get rid of the death flash is by using a hand held programmer, or sending your PCM out to B&G. However, you shouldn't get a tuner before fixing the...

    Torque Review

That won't do anything, the dealer will only install the death flash, not remove it. Only way to get rid of the death flash is to use a hand held programmer, or send your PCM out to get flashed by B&G.

    Torque Review

Take off your air cleaner, crack the TB blades and look down into the manifold, you will most likely see oil pooled up. For some reason, Dodge used two different metals in the intake manifold. The manifold itself is cast aluminum, and the plenum belly plate is stamped steel. As you can tell...

0-60 in 13.5 seconds? You must have the blown plenum and death flash?

    My Life

I'll be there on August 1st, love the Keys. My favorite place.

    I didnt know

That guy more than likely did not build that. There is a company in Texas that does these step side conversions. To me the Dodge RC/SB stepside conversions don't look too bad, but any extended cab truck with a step-side bed just looks goofy to me.

    This will shut him up

Those Chevy's are nothing but a car with a box. My Ram is lowered 2" front and rear and I still sit dead even with a 4x4 Z71! Nice pics Luke! :waytogo:

Ruby Ram is pretty loud now....

Mark are you sure your cat is SI-DO? The cat on my 97' is a DI-SO. I replaced mine a few years ago with a Magnaflow Hi-Flo cat, big difference in sound.

    Skipping And Stalling!?!?!?!?!

Hughes Engines I didn't like the flimsy rubber gasket that came with the hughes kit so I went down to Advance and got the good Fel Pro gaskets. You also need new Manifold bolts as they are Torque To Yield bolts (TTY), and actually stretch when you tighten them. So they can only be used once...

    Skipping And Stalling!?!?!?!?!

    No problem Grant.

    Skipping And Stalling!?!?!?!?!

Yes sir, unfortunately they all have the problem! The reason it happens is a combination of two things. The factory manifold is cast aluminum, and for some reason the bright engineers at Chrysler thought it would be a good idea to use a stamped STEEL plenum plate (instead of aluminum). The two...

Next Mod on the Good Ol' Dodge

It seems like you would due to the increased size and flow, but you don't. It makes the engine more efficient as long as you have a nice exhaust to compliment it. The engine is just a big air pump. I got 22.7 mpg from my house to Key West (500 miles). All highway. Went 475 miles on one tank of...

    Skipping And Stalling!?!?!?!?!

Take off your factory intake, crack the throttle body blades and have a look down into the manifold with a flashlight. If you see any oil buildup, your plenum went bye bye. Also, pull out the number 8 spark plug, if there is any oil build up on it, there is your prob. I had the same problem you...

Next Mod on the Good Ol' Dodge

Nope, better mileage. The truck gets up to speed easier when you are just cruising, better throttle response, and better sound. Has a nice little whistle to it. It's a perfect compliment to any 14x3 or real CAI.
