    Sounds to me like the problem never was FCA. It was (as usual) the dealer and their handling of the warranty active date and representation of same. Glad it was taken care of by FCA; shame this is yet another dealer cautionary tale.

    I don't see why you couldn't contact the lien holder yourself to get confirmation and a letter, unless there are privacy laws or something. In Missouri, as long as you have a letter from the lien holder stating that the lien is gone, you're good to go.

    If I would replace the bad solenoid, I'd surely replace all four at the same time since it's a real PIA job (especially on a Durango with half the engine behind the firewall). For that cost and effort, a tuner would be a great value for me. What's the best, cheapest one that would do the trick...

    I have a complaint about the MDS! The MDS solenoids go bad and you have to remove the intake manifold to get to them. What a pain! I wish it could be turned off without engaging tow/haul. I have a stupid CEL on for MDS solenoid cylinder 6 that I would love to disappear from the dash.

    Kind of a sh*t happens sort of a deal. If I did that, I would personally leave a short note of apology (with no PII) but wouldn't feel obliged to pony up for any cleaning or repair because it was parked where it was and most likely done in the process of getting unstuck, not intended to spray...

    I also didn't mean only in cruise control. Just curious though, does it surge while using cruise, also? Still worth it to look into. Could try a good cleaning, but a replacement is quick and cheap.

    Two things I would check are battery and TPS. Your belly pan gasket is a separate issue that needs attention.
