thanks for all the input. i wasnt planning on using it for more than a couple driveways with the little bit of snow we get here, but i just thought it be cool to have to make a little extra money. surprised no one has one on a 4th gen on here to chime in yet.
go with bilstein 5100s, had them on for over a year now with no issues. set them at 2.8'' though because they will sag a little bit after re alignment. i had a 2.5'' level before bilsteins and didnt like the ride quality. the bilsteins will give you better ride than stock
good to know, i was looking into these for my next set. i have terra grapplers now and have had them a while and the treads holding up by they are starting to show some dry rot :disgust:
heres my truck lifted 4''
i have Bilsteing 5100s in the front set at 2.8'' a .75'' rear coil spacer, and a RCX 1.25'' body lift. I think OP should go the route i did to achieve a taller sitting front end and just not use the rear coil spacer. heres a pic of my truck right after...
Update: the truck is back up and running. A friend of mine suggested try bleeding the brakes on that side first as a start to fixing the problem. Bled the brakes on that wheel and after 3 or 4 pumps on the brake a chunk of shit that was built up in the brake line shot out. I could hear it...
yea i never had to really do anything to my truck other than oil changes yet haha. didnt notice any leaks but ill check the fluid tomorrow.
can i get away with just replacing everything on the one side? and the wheel was stuck from the caliper being seized and then all of a sudden it...
i know right? not sure if something is wrong or what but im scared to drive the damn thing now till i take it somewhere. but i also dont want to get ripped off by a shop and have them do something uneccesary to the truck
my truck let me down for the first time today :flame: I had just picked my girlfriend up from work and was headed home when i noticed after leaving a stop light a lot of vibration in the steering wheel. i only got to 25mph when i noticed it was unbearable to drive so i pull over to see what t...
400hp on a stock motor? or did i miss a mod on that list? not trying to hurt the sale just was wondering if thats what the R/Ts come with or if there was something done to it
ive run a 40 series on all 3 of my dodge trucks and have never had a problem with them and love the sound. they are cheaper compared to magnaflow as well. i agree with everyone else though that if youre going for more performance get the magnaflow.
no rock chips on chrome bumpers :flipthebird:
and i feel like when you try to avoid scratches/dings/dents you more likely end up having one happen....at least with me
did you just get the fronts or the rear non adjustables too? either way you will be really impressed with the ride quality from these. i already thought 4G rams were the nicest riding trucks out there and then i added these and my truck rides even better. i bought the same series bilsteins...
