02 had a 5.9 in it. not a hemi motor, motor sucks fuel way to bad. get a 2004 or newer. 02's have a list of problems and 03's has a some stand alone parts for the hemi motor. 4.7 motors are junk, they get oil starved and you will see more of them replaced or rebuild by 130K miles.
rockers and...
if you want to learn how to fix and prevent rust forever you need to contact me. I have worked at a body shope and know these trucks design flaws and how to fix them.
here are your p/n for shocks 0-2" of lift from rough country. They are not listed on their site and I learned the hard way because they sent me wrong shocks at 1st.
Rough Country N2.0 rear shocks P/N 20057 0-2" lift
Rough Country N2.0 front shock P/N 20126 0-2" lift
2500s are work trucks, 1500s are your pretty everyday trucks...auto companies market that because 80% of people do not need a 2500+ work truck to drive 8 miles to work.
I put 20x10s on my 1500, it has 20's factory. I like them better then 17's or 18s anyway. the bigger the rams get the larger...
bed wheel wells will have rust in them, rocker panels will also, seats rip but theres a fix with burlap. If you live in a salt belt state make sure you look unto the truck. Some if the fixes I mention will cost up to $3000 to fix correctly at a shop if you cant do any body work yourself...
I used longer shock on a rought county leveling kit, problem is people cheaping out swaping out stuff then selling off the truck a year llater like most will do so the next person has no clue what's been done.
crank keys if your cheap, buy keys if you want it done right. you should replace...
heres a -25 20x10 mazzi hulk on about 2" of leveleing kit a 1" body lift. I run wide wheels because I like the way the tires do not ballon.
I have no rub issues and full lock. 305/55R20s however. They stick out little more about 2.5"...not running flairs and I can pass inspections.
Yours...
If any of ya'll build anything ground up it's gonna take more time and money then even budgeting for. Sell the 2wd but a 4x4. No one in their right mind will buy a used 2wd converted to 4x4 truck.
Do you really need 4x4, 90% of us who buy them don't. Want to offroad your truck and waste...
before I leveled and put some a 1" body lift on my truck I got 15 normaly. Maybe a little better on highway.
I get between 12.7 and 13 going to work. Do I care...nope. I kept 33's but they were a little heavier. Think smart when doing mods, big tires don't do anything but cost ya more...
put a leveling kit on it, a hood scoop and a roll pan. They look awesome on 4x4 trucks...dumb on tits on a bull (2wd trucks)
Some different tires will make it more aggressive even if you keep the stock 20s.
I started with a stock truck and tried to be different but classy and not all...
I do not like tow mirrors or will be towing anything. I removed the hitch and bumper for a roll pan. wheels stick out 2" or so. Not putting flares on.
I will add more pics when I take them. Going back to the shop to finish a buff job up and install me new vinal two toned seat covers...and...
Don't see why I wouldn't work. but I wouldn't buy a 3" body lift. either get a 4 in suspchepn lift and then put a 1" body lift on it. 3" like to flex and loosen up...if your find with a 6.75" bolt holding your cab up go for it...Me personal, long bolts don't hold crap tight with flex.
POR-15, east wood products. redid my entire truck and put stuff everyware inside doors rockers, frame got new bedsides and fixed them up and coated my entire underside of truck and bed inside and out.
I bought a 3" PA body lift...I sent it back. I didn't like it at all. I made me own 1" kit. Heres my truck with a 2" level and 1" body lift all over. Still not finished.
I run 305/55R20s and got a 1" block in the rear.
-leveled 2" + 1" body lift on it front with new longer shocks.
-1" rear block + 1" body lift with new longer shock.
-305/55r20
Paint work next...lift is done however.
heres 3" of lift at front, 2" level and 1" body. stock 33, rear 33 also just about 1.5" wider. still working on truck. truck has 1.5" of rake vs 2.5" stock, but its on a decline so it looks raked more at the shop.
