It's a 20 year old vehicle.
Assume responsibility for your own tUURrD pile or die like real men (or women, this is 2023 after all)
Weeeeeeeeeee Send it!
Wake up, y'all.
Finally said to hell with this heat and fixed my A/C. Evidently my accumulator plugged up and needed replaced.
Changed my accumulator and high side line last weekend and have good A/C again. Heater core bypass is next.
Here soon I'm planning on replacing both lock actuators...
You can swap the breather and PCV valve between the valve covers, so you can change it to whatever you like.
Usually the PCV is on the passenger bank and the breather hose going to the air box is on the drivers side.
Changed the clock spring only to find out its a 98 specific part and that no one makes it anymore. They're all 99+. So I had to run to the junk yard and buy a new air bag.
Put it all back together to find my scraping noise still present, lessened, but there nonetheless.
I don't know what to...
Sadly no one makes an easily swappable aftermarket auto for these trucks that's anything other than a 4 speed.
PATC makes the MegaViper which is supposed to be the best mail order trans you can get for these trucks, but it's still a 46RH/E.
The Infinity head won't power the front speakers without their amps if I remember right. Do yourself a favor and just buy a nice aftermarket single DIN head and be done with it.
I swapped my Infinity unit out years ago with a lower end Pioneer system and it's been great. Converted the front...
Ahhh yes. This place is musty as usual. Been a while, y'all.
Anyway, got 2 weeks off for Holiday/Shutdown from work so I'm going to do a couple things in the mean time. Finally going to get around to replacing my air bag clock spring that I've been sitting on for months as well as some axle...
The RC12LC4 plug is merely an emissions plug. They'll interchange just fine. Most guys run the earlier spec'd plugs in all Magnums because they cut down on spark knock.
Finally got my stuff replaced yesterday. Borrowed a compressor from a buddy and my impact from work.
Busted the axle nut off and had to chisel the hub off the knuckle. Fuckered the backing plate in the process but I'm just sending it.
New wheel hub, 2 calipers, pads and rotors later and she's...
Went looking for a squeaking noise last saturday.
Found that my front brakes are beyond shot, passenger wheel hub is on its way out and both axle joints are loose.
Yay me. Ordered calipers, pads, rotors and a wheel hub that night. Brakes are here. Still waiting on the wheel hub, may not end...
What wheels did you get?
Think I'm going to buy a tote box for the cab of my truck to put all my junk in. recovery strap, ratchet straps, jumper cables, spare headlights, etc. As I don't have a tool box that shit just floats around in the cab making it look like junk.
