Disregard.. As usual, no one knows what the hell they're talking about.
They removed the surcharge for the H/K upgrade from my TRX order... When I called to ask why, they told me it was no longer an option... After going 5 deep in customer relations... I found out it's now standard... So... Bonus!
Placed an order for a 2022 TRX this morning... Was told they backed out the surcharge on my Stereo upgrade, because it will be Alpine only (Standard) on the 2022's.... I'm fricking bummed, waiting for clarification before I finalize with the deposit.
The H/K seems to be generally well...
Just ordered one from Dave Smith in Idaho... They are telling me 3-6 months.
Just curious how long your wait was... Especially the more recent orders.
Thanks.
A few years ago, I bought the Customtronix harness with front cam and 3rd tail cam....They both work ok, but the quality is lacking (even compared to the not too great factory installed backup cam)
I would be happy with OEM quality at a minimum... But when I drive my wife's 2014 Lexus....her...
I live in SoCal... So I couldn't even drive 5 miles without my station of choice turning into a Mariachi band... I trimmed it down to about 5 inches, and never listened to terrestrial radio again.
Sorry...just realized I had nothing to add, except my antenna was useless when it was working. :p
You live in Wisconsin.... Don't forget to shovel your driveway every time you pull it into the garage, or you might just end up with an unintended convertible.
Dammit... Now there's a "5th Generation Ram"?
I told my wife the 2015 was the last vehicle I would buy, and it would be in the garage during my funeral.
How do I tell her I need a new one because.... "4th Generation" is a click below, and I refuse to move my wrist that much more, and subject...
Anyone else have this happen recently? I don't use the Uconnect app, 2015 Ram Sport 8.4N
Google Pixel via bluetooth.... I haven't updated the software on my radio for over a year, due to using Rax.... It used to always show what artist/song was playing... Now it just says "Pixel XL No Music"...
I bought my first new truck in 1987 (Mazda B-2000) It was just shy of 5k new
I lowered it, put new wheel and tires on, a shell....and about 10k in stereo gear.
I sold it less than 3 years later for 4k..
Verdict: Way too much modding. :roflsquared:
Is there anything in the newest update that it makes it worth pursuing?
I've had my Customtronix for about two years... and have never updated the software.... I have zero issues.
I bought the 5 inch tips from Moes... Had them powdercoated..... As I was bolting them in place, I thought to myself "These took me 5 minutes or so to bolt on (including alignment) Some douche will take them off in half that time.... So I had them welded in place the next day lol.
My 2015 Sport Nav... Doesn't have my densely populated SoCal neighborhood (Built in 2006-2007) Upgrade with extreme caution....
Better yet...just pump Google Maps or Waze through your bluetooth and still be 99% more accurate.
I love Costco for a ton of reasons.... But in 20+ years of trying, I have never been able to get tires there for a better deal than Schwab or Discount Tire.
Did you try the one listed 2 post up?
This: iDatalink ACC-USB-RAM USB Port Cable Allows you to connect the factory USB port and aux input on select 2013-up Ram trucks to a new car stereo at Crutchfield.com
Oddly enough, my sweetheart of a wife was the only one who said it sounded fine....
That mic looks really familiar.... Pick one of your buddy's, who is the biggest dickhead.....And ask his opinion... Your answer will lie somewhere between the two. :p
Sorry I have no answer for you, just came to wish you luck.... I had a Pioneer unit in my old 2009 Silverado... I tried 4 different mics, in various positions... And the response I always got was... "Dude.... turn off your bluetooth, it sounds like hell!"
