    Trucks today

Hate "new" trucks. Meaning, anything newer than like 1992 or 93. I ordered my 2018 as old as possible and I still hate it. Well, I like it, but I really want an older truck, the right older truck. I'm patiently looking. One day, hopefully soon, I'll find it. Then it's goodbye computer...

What DON'T you like about your RAM?

A year later and I'm realizing I hate the hvac system. Damn thing is loud as hell at full speed and non existent at low speeds.

Dial Shifter Made My Life Easier

Last year, dial shifter convinced me to buy a 2018. No dial shifter. I guess I'll never own a truck newer than 2018 for the rest of my life.

    Back to stock exhaust

I've been holding off doing exhaust because of this very reason. Was maybe gonna do the muffler delete for now because it's cheap and easy but whatever. I'm just not willing to drop a few hundred to a grand for something I may hate. So I haven't done anything. Still stock.

    Fuel tank size?

I never go too far below 1/4 tank. Have yet to have the light come on. I rarely fill up either. I just $20 it to death. Haven't gone on any long trips with it yet either. Maybe a few 200 mile round trips. No idea what the mpg's or dte would be long distance. I did do a quite a few NY to FL trips...

    These Firestones suck

Seems like a decent all purpose tire to me. I've had no major issues so far (7k miles). Driven thru snow, mud, trails, nothing too crazy but no problems. And they are pretty quiet. Loud tires are a peeve of mine. Drives me bonkers.

    Upgrade to 6.4

Yeah. I know guys with trucks that LOOK like they fell off a cliff and burst into flames, but are meticulously maintained mechanically.

    Upgrade to 6.4

What trim level? That's around what I paid for a tradesman 18 leftover last March. If yours is a loaded Laramie or something I'm gonna be pissed. Lol

    These Firestones suck

Got 63k out of the stock Goodyears on the Jeep Renegade commuter we used to have. Still had original tires on it when we sold it, with some life left in them.

    ***Dads 2011 RAM 1500 Transformation ***

Score with the 392's. Nice truck. Love reg cabs. The stock photo is pretty much my work truck, so I can relate. Maybe I'm cracking up, but did you do chrome in front and painted in rear?

    These Firestones suck

Shhhh....quiet. You're gonna blow it for all the guys looking for excuses to give their wives as to why they NEED to get those big knobby off road dreamy hunks of rubber.

FNG with a new used Ram with issues.

In the old days, when things were simple, you'd think a vacuum leak or something silly. Now? Forget about it. Could be god only knows with all the crap under the hood. Somebody needs to make an aftermarket intake and carb for these motors. Lol.

    Uh Oh Mobil 1

Well, oddly enough I just did my first oil change and used Mobil 1. So when I saw this thread the "uh oh" part caught my eye. So I guess any day now my truck is going to randomly burst into flames and ultimately not be covered under warranty after months of back amd forth with the dealer. They...

    Uh Oh Mobil 1

Wow. I almost want to stay off these forums. Sometimes I'm driving around just waiting for something to break because of some of the stuff I read here. I know many people come on here to vent, and report bad stuff, but it can't help to make you feel a little paranoid. Like is my truck gonna end...

    These Firestones suck

The Transforce seem ok to me. No big complaints other than the writing on the sidewall is a little tacky looking.

RAM CARES and DRAG LINK RECALL !

Like I've said before, time to go back to a 40 year old truck. Could piece the thing together part by part into a "new" truck for half the cost of a "brand new" one. Also ready to say goodbye to Ram/Dodge/Jeep. Tired of brand/dealer politics.

So my 2018 ram 6.4 hemi 2500 bighorn has crap toyo at 275/70r18 tires.

I like these for a "stock" tire. They look pretty good, beefy enough, and quiet. At 6k miles they are wearing well. Traction is very good. Haven't been in a situation to really push them like deep snow/deep mud but they have done well in moderate depths so far. I have the Goodyear Adventure...

    Gen 4 or Gen 5?

I was lucky, had a choice between a 2018 leftover and a 2019. I picked the 2018. I just liked it better. A little more old school rugged looking and no dial shifter. I know, I know, "but the 8 speed". I'm not that hardcore of a gearhead to care. I prefer the column shifter. Truck is a beast with...

    Rams are not amphibious

I drove through Hurricane Irene floods and a few other misc floods up to, and maybe just above the rocker with no problem. Then Hurricane Sandy came and wiped her out. That was my 2011 1500 Big Horn. Only had like 7 or 8k miles on it. My 2500 is much higher so I would expect it to do alright...

So my 2018 ram 6.4 hemi 2500 bighorn has crap toyo at 275/70r18 tires.

My truck(same) came with Maypops, I mean Firestones. So far pretty good at 6k miles. Nice looking AT tire. They used different brands throughout 2018 for the 2500's?

    The 6.4 HD Hemi Thread

The cup holders! Lol. 3 on the floor. 3 in the console. And the foam inserts in the doors at 2 each. For my regular cab. If I had a drinking "problem", I still don't need that many cup holders.

Those actually don't look too bad. Got a better shot? Long side view or something?
