    Lots of problems.. Turbo shot.

I'm currently driving my 2001 ford excursion limited v-10 gasser. Think I'll just keep driving this for a while. I won't miss payments on a new rig at all.

Sold it today. .. back to a Ford. Tired of trying to deal with Chrysler.

    Lots of problems.. Turbo shot.

Yeah it is. Looking through my service records I totally forgot about the time I had to bring it in after blowing a seal on the power steering pump.

So far since new: Latch on Mopar soft tonneau cover broke. Tonneau cover shredded and replaced. Not covered under Lemon law but still annoying. Navigation shows vehicle in a spot 30 - 150 miles away from actual physical location. 5 times. Navigation disappears from touch screen...

    Lots of problems.. Turbo shot.

Got it back a week ago Saturday. Nav was still screwed up. Back in on Monday. Nav screwed up again this weekend. Back in today. Considering contacting a lawyer about lemon law.

As far as the price goes, everything is being covered under warranty. Its just what the service manager mentioned while on the phone. I don't really care what it cost them, as long as its fixed. In other news, parts arrived today. They hope to have it done by Saturday.

    Lots of problems.. Turbo shot.

So a few weeks ago my truck threw a check engine light. The temp that morning was -25F. The truck seemed to run fine, so I drove it and called the dealership. They couldn't get me in for about 10 days, so I went to auto zone and checked the fault codes. The first one was for Ambient Air Temp...

    DEF usage ?

I have been tracking my DEF usage pretty regularly. When I drive around town, or pull my camper I use much more. When I cruise down the highway, it seems to do much better. Which should be pretty obvious. Our trucks are designed to run on 3% DEF. Lets look at some real world numbers...

Thoughts about "truckonator" or the "tornado" intake fans

    Snake oil... waste of money.

    DEF usage ?

I bought my truck brand new with a full tank of DEF. I drove about 6900 miles which was almost all highway, and my DEF was just on the bottom side of 1/4 tank. I didn't tow anything during that time. I got a 2 1/2 gallon jug from the dealer for ~$30 and it put me back at almost 3/4 tank.

    Expected Milage Question

Good point, and one that I hadn't even thought of. Salesman talked about pulling at 75mph and slowing down if the winds got too high, but in my experience salesmen typically know just enough about their product to sell it and not many of the details. I'll have to check next time I make it...

    Expected Milage Question

Yeah, according to the owners manual there is no required break in period on the CTD. Not sure if milage gets better after a few thousand miles though. I figured I could get better going a bit slower, but was just curious what others were getting towing something similar. I have about 7000...

    Expected Milage Question

Hey I was just wondering what I should expect to see for fuel milage with my 2014 3500 Crew Cab 4x4 SLT CTD? I just bought a 2015 Jayco Jayflight 26RLS camper. It weighs about 6500lbs and I towed it from Idaho Falls to Butte MT and had cruise set at 75mph and only saw 9.4 for the first 100...

    Cummins Vs. Powerstroke?

I am a life long Ford fan. This is my first Ram (2014 3500 CTD). I test drove several new Ford Superduty's as well as the Rams (obviously). Ford - seemed much more quiet in the cab. Doors felt more solid. Quicker off the line (40 more horsepower, plus possible gearing). Had a few...

Why did you pick your model/year of the Ram?

My company pays me a vehicle allowance as long as my truck meets certain requirements (it docks points for how old and how many miles). My 2011 F150 with 80k on the clock was fast approaching the limit so I started looking at trucks. I have always driven Fords, Grandpa had Chevy's on his farm...

    MPG Displayed vs. Actual?

I have been tracking my fuel consumption since I bought my 2014 3500 SLT CTD with an app called Fuel Log Pro. Since I purchased the truck on March 31st I've driven 3938 miles with an average of 17.12 mpg. Almost all of that is highway, I have a high of 19.93 mpg and a low of 14.72 mpg (all in...

    Bed covers

I had/have the Mopar branded Roll-Up cover. Bought the truck March 31st, and on April 18th I was driving down the interstate, cruise set on 77mph when a huge gust of wind coming from the side ripped the cover off. The latch was broken, the material was shredded, the metal bar just about took...

    Class Action 6.7L

This has me worried. I bought a diesel because I work in the oilfield and 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks seem to hold up better on the rough roads that I frequently travel. I bought a diesel because there isn't any use in buying a heavy duty gasser (imo, I'm sure I'll hear from the gasser crowd on...

    Nav not recieving Satelite Signal

My 2014 had the same issue. First day I had the Nav activated it worked normally. Next day it showed I was 100+ miles away. Dealership said there was a problem where "it wasn't activated properly". They fixed it in about an hour. Works fine now.

    New Ram owner

Hi all. I recently bought my first Ram. All my previous trucks I've owned have been Fords. We had some Chevys, GMCs, and a 79 Dodge on the family farm, and was given a 2008 Big Horn 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi for work for a while. My truck is a 2014 Ram 3500 SLT Cummins. Western Brown...
