Step bar recommendations
AMP power steps. They make extensions for lifted trucks. Pricey at about $1200 but they are hidden away and don't look so clunky like regular steps. Have been running them since 2014. Still get ohhhs and ahhhs from strangers and passengers when open the doors. -
What say you? Chrome or paint Ram 1500?
The under 30 crowd seems to like the "murder" blacked out look. I like the painted look but love the chrome. Added chrome to mine. -

2016 RAM 1500 4X4 Vibration

Favorite Truck Color?
Every vehicle on the road today is white, gray/silver or black. BORING! Flame Red is the best color with some chrome to make it pop. My first vehicle was green. Every vehicle since for the last 35 years has been red. Red is the ONLY color. -
Bed Liner And Running Board Suggestions
AMP Research Power Steps. Pricey but then you dont have those ugly bars hanging around under your truck. I have a drop in liner for a 5.6 bed for free if you want it. Came with the truck. I immediately pulled it out and but in a BedRug. -

Why did you pick your model/year of the Ram?
2000 Dakota had 245,000 miles and was costing too much in monthly maintenance. Needed a new ride. Drive 20K miles a year and needed something that could haul my work tools. SUV's you see and hear all the rattles and ugly of the items you haul. Gotta be a truck for the seperation and utility...- Resqman

Helped my oldest son move from his old rental into his new rental house so he would have a place to stay during his senior yr of college. Hauled my youngest son and his stuff to his freshman dorm. 950 miles between home and the two schools. Busy weekend.- Resqman

Real world MPG w/ 2014 V6
Got about 8K miles on my 14 CCSB. Mostly city with intermixed highway. In Atlanta we have a perimeter highway of 4/5 lanes in each direction. I use cruise as often as possible but rush hour driving does not lend itself well to cruise. 17.5 mixed use. Took two 800 mile highway roundway...- Resqman
