Well ive put about 100 miles on the truck since i did this and im pleased to say its not burning nor leaking coolant. Must have a fried wire between the sender and the guage.
Does anyone know where i can find the pigtail that plugs into the sender probe? I dont see it on rock auto or...
The serial numbers are kinda hard to get to if the trans is still in the vehicle (at least on the cars..maybe a bit easier on trucks). If you need to find out folks on here can help but we need more info.

That is WEIRD..air pump, egr valve on the manifold, pcv valve on the driver side valve cover and the dual belt set up. That is definitely an la engine but you still have the magnum air box. As for the button you could probably mount it elsewhere in the vehicle or move that toggle switch but...
D250s/w250s or 94/95 ram 2500s with the 5.9 gas, some ramchargers and dakotas and jeeps but your best bet is the pickup trucks.

I had creaks in my 2014 as well but spraying the suspension joints with lithium grease always solved it but only temporarily. Getting your truck undercoated helps this too and lasts longer than the lithium grease but unless you live somewhere where salt is an issue, its not worth the expense...
They are metallic so a bit of brake dust in there will make them squeal too. Maybe try just blasting them with brake kleen before pulling your wheel off to check.

Actually after reading this entirely, the linkages are not the same and your lockup will not work properly. However, the article is in depth enough to help you figure out what you will need.
Can you take a picture of the top of the engine please?

As i stated in a previous post i couldnt find any info regarding la blocks put in mexican trucks past 1993 which makes this even more strange. Thats not to say they didnt throw this engine in a few trucks because they had them laying around and they could still pass mexican emmissions...
Here is a pic for 3spd trans identification. Unfortunately im having a difficult time finding a picture of a tbi 5.9 because the cummins from those years share the same displacement. I'll do a bit more research but that certainly looks like a tbi carb to me.

Yes holley has been making oem carbs for decades. From the offey on the amc motors to the magnum engines at least in my truck. My fifth ave has a holley 6280 feedback and before that the la engines used 2280s which were normal carbs. While they are kniwn for performance parts this indicates...
Yeah now that you mention it there would be more .030 pistons for a 360 than anything for a 340. Ive been looking into getting a 340 to build and put into a d100 with an 833 so thats really the only thing i have researched for aftermarket performance. Was gonna make a drag truck. Really dont...
I dont think i mentioned that i wasnt burning coolant before i replaced the sender or the thermostat. I thought it might be an issue with that sensor to the pcm but i have not driven the truck enough since i replaced the sensor to tell really
I will check the clip for the sender to make sure...
Lately ive been trying to get my cooling system straightened out. When i bought the truck the coolant guage did not work and it seemed the thermostat was getting stuck closed. I replaced the thermostat, sending unit probe to the left of the upper radiator hose and the sensor to the right next...
Only thing i can reall help with is the propane carbd 5.9. With 11:1 or higher i would go forged kb -4 domed for a 340 la engine. If im remembering right, hot rod writer steve dulcich used these pistons on a 340 and made well over 400hp with a mild mild cam and dual plane edelbrock intake and...
My only thing with the 4.56 gears is that if he does have a hemi his mileage will definitely take a hit because that thing will be way too fun to drive. I know if i had my 6.4 with 4.56 i wouldnt be able to keep off the skinny pedal

Yeah thats a good buy. At this point in my life i realized im capable of doing most anythikng i need to to repair a vehicle so why should i be making payments? I do still have my g37 but id give it up anyday for the right price. I may never buy another vehicle from a dealership again lol...
i would post this in the 2nd gen section, those guys would be able to help wigh performance stuff. This section is for 1st gen trucks and they have different engine blocks and induction setups, while they share many similar features, they have major differences.
Depends what age of truck you are looking for.
My opinion, stick with the hemi regardless. It has been around a lot longer than the pentastar and has proven to be a high mileage engine. If youre looking 2013 and newer, i also recommend the 8spd as its better on gas and is also considered to...
Everyone here for the most part would choose a ram but this is the best piece of advice one could give. I bust my friends balls all the time about the vehicles they drive but when any of them is looking at getting a vehicle, this is what i tell them. If you like it and the price is right then...
I dont know about adapting older mirrors but that is your problem entirely. My brother just had his sensor go bad recently, he replaced it and hasnt had an issue since. The 2012 mirrors dont have it so you would either need to get correct model year mirrors or get a wiring diagram and figure...
