Thanks for the input yall. Dudeman2009 I am gonna take your advice and get a 5 pack of leaf springs for the rear. Did you buy the Husky's off or rockauto? Also is your 1500 a 2wd?
Thanks yall. Moog makes a replacement spring for the v10/ diesel 2500. I think I'm gonna purchase a pair of these and some new shocks instead of jer king a pair out of junkyard that's 20 years old. Do yall reckon my stock control arms can handle it?
Hello all,
I have a 2001 1500 2wd quad cab that I use as a farm/work truck. I also use it to tow a 31 foot camper for short distances (75 miles or less) across flat land. I want to improve its towing capabilities a bit as well as give it a little better stance. In the rear I am planning to...
Speaking of CAI's has anyone given the S&B CAI a go on a 4.7? I know that they are only sold for 5.7 engines, but the upper and lower air box is the same for both the 4.7 and 5.7. I was interested if it would be possible to drop in an S&B CAI and just keep the stock air intake hose. Any thoughts?
I threw on a magnaflow 18 this week which and I am planning to take a shot at the cold air intake in the next couple of weeks. Is there a tuner for the 4.7 that anyone recommends?
Hey does anyone have any suggestions for a few simple performance upgrades I can do with my 2013 4.7? I know that it is just a little 4.7 and I am not trying to create a monster, just looking for a few projects to tinker with on my truck and maybe squeeze out a few extra hp in the process.
Thanks Nick. I put a Flowmaster 40 series on my truck a while back. I really like it but maybe just a little too much cab noise for my daily driver. After more thought I am thinking of a Magnaflow 18. Quick question does anybody know the difference between the Magnaflow stainless and...
Has anyone out there run across any cold air intake systems for a 2013 ram 1500 with the 4.7? I have seen plenty for the hemi and some for the v6 but not for the 4.7.
This is my last annoying post to this thread I promise. I have installed my bilsteins at 2.1. My stock tires are on their deathbed and I just don't have the funds to spring for tires and wheels right now. I am planning on just running a 285 70 17 cooper ATP on my stock wheels. Do I still need to...
I really like the way that my stock rims look on my current rig. I will change them out if I have to, but I am hoping I can keep them and still install a decent sized tire
I'm on the same path at Iczer but I have a 2013 slt 4x4 with the 17 inch 5 stoke factory wheels. I was planning on bilsteins at 2.8 with a .75 inch rear spacer. Can I get away with running 285 75 17s on my stock wheels as long as I use a1/4 inch wheel spacer?
Hey guys I'm back almost a year later and finally ready to get this thing rolling. I have my Bilstein 5100's and .75 inch rear spacer in my garage ready to go. I have some concerns about that 315 70 17 tire fitting on my stock 17 in rim though. Would I be better off going with a 285 75 17...
I have one more question. I see folks talking about the ball joints popping out when installing spacers on the front of the 2013s. Is this something I should be worried about when installing the bilsteins?
I am sure that this has already been answered somewhere on the forum but I am going to ask anyhow. I have a 2013 1500 4x4. I have purchased a pair of bilstein 5100 which I plan on setting at 2.1 and .75 inch spacers from top gunz customs for the rear. Here is my question, I have the 17 inch 5...
