Forgot my volt meter at the house and having trouble finding the wire colors for the front signal/park lamps. Need to install a resistor on the fronts for the LED switchbacks.
I've got all LEDs and only installed the 3ohm resistors on the rears as that seemed to work for well over a year...
The flash is only a labor cost. I had mine flashed for under $75 once and $90 another time (different dealers). If you plan on adding other things, I would wait and have them do it all at once so you can get a better deal.
I have these in my high beams. I have JJ's HID projectors in the lows. I personally prefer a mix of both since you can't flash your high beams during the day at someone with ALL HIDs (they have to warm up first).
My opinion on them is this: They are definitely brighter and whiter than stock...
That all depends on the law in your area. Some cops have a hard on for it, some could care less. Your mileage may vary.
FWIW, mine is 5% all the way around and the windshield is at 50%.
Do you have the OEM remote start? The OEM remote start has the hood switch integrated in the hood latch.
The red arrow points to the switch and there should be a plug that goes in to it.
I know there were a few guys who made their own for diesels on a ford trucks website that I used before I totaled mine. I want to say it cost them around $50ish but don't hold me to that.
There is no flasher. It's handled by the TIPM and the noise is just a simulated flasher. Your only option is resistors. Not sure you need them though on the front flashers. I have replaced my front with switchbacks and the rears with leds as well. I only had to use the resistors on the rears to...
Thanks for the compliments. Yes I've had the switchbacks for a couple months now. Love them. They flash W-A-A-A-W though, like the Audi's do. :)
The fogs are next. Just got to run down to TRS and grab the parts.
And yes blackout11, I am just up the street. We should meet up sometime. I'd like...
I had Jeremy do mine a bit different than most. I had him paint mine brilliant black to match the truck, but leave the reflector bowls for the highs and turn signals chrome so they aren't rendered useless.
The turn signals are V-LEDs 5k switchback white/amber. The HIDs are 5k Morimoto 3Fives...
Why would you have to cut the insert out and not just remove it? Looks pretty thin from the pictures. A rock or large bug might dent it up pretty easily.
