    General maintenance

Change the diff oils as soon as you can, especially if you tow at all. The factory filled oil is junk and until your first change will have initial break in particles in it. As for lube points, on the 1500's there's sweet nothing. Everything suspension/drivetrain wise is "lifetime sealed".

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Managed to snag a brand new toolbox for free :favorites13: Only issue being it didn't quite fit due to the front not being tapered so it hit the wheel wells. Being that it would cost me about $600 to buy one that was tapered I brought it to work on my day off and did a little custom fab work...

What DON'T you like about your RAM?

The ridiculous price of pretty much every part, headlights, mirrors, bumpers, etc.

    my attempt at tinted tails

Only my third brake light is vht'd, my tails have actual tint on them but I used Dupi-Color perfect match automotive clearcoat on it and so have a few other people I know that used vht.

    my attempt at tinted tails

If you plan on keeping the vht on for awhile, you should clearcoat them. If you don't the vht fades over time.

    *&%$#@ ram!!!

As an HD technician I have to say, anything drawing enough power to kill the battery that fast should be easily found by a competent mechanic. This sounds a lot like their techs don't know how to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instead are loading up the parts canon to fire at it. But...

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Waited for the temperature to hit below -30 to get around to installing my oil pan heater. Might not have feeling in my extremities but dammit I've got warm oil now

Best Brake Pads for pad slap

Drilled/Slotted rotors are a waste of time and money. No benefit in normal operation, and much more likely to crack.

    Driveshaft Failure

They wouldn't do that, if needed they would dolly it.

    TPMS sensor lifespan?

I'd be more inclined to think it's an issue with the truck side of the tpms rather than 4 separate tire sensors to fail at the same time.

    7 Pin Trailer Plug

There's a fuse in the fusebox under the hood, I forget where exactly but It's a pink mini J case type: Check the diagram on the cover of the fusebox, it's labeled there. I know from when I bought my trailer and hooked it up the bad home wiring job the previous owner had done blew the fuse...

    6.7 Diesel or 6.4 Hemi

For how much you say you'll be towing and hauling, the hemi will handle the loads and will cost less overall.

One more question from the Electrophobic

Looks right, 2 amps @ 12 volts equals out to them pulling 12 watts a piece. LED pods are usually either 12 or 18 Watts/each and so should pull around 2-3 amps for two.

    Plasti dipped my tails

Had a friend plasti-dip his trucks' taillights a few years back, blocked a lot of light and made for a cheap look. VHT Nightshades is a much better product for it (obviously since it's actually made for that application). If you want to be able to remove the tint sometime later then best bet is...

CTD wiring questions from an Electrophobic

You can calculate the amperage draw if you know the wattage and voltage (12v in this case). Usually for led's they will advertise how many watts they are so you should be able to find that from wherever sold it. Otherwise if it's a light bar 90% of them use 3w Led's so you can count the number...

305 55 20 on stock suspension with quarter inch spacers

I have 305/55R20 mud tires and they never rubbed at stock height or leveled without any spacers on stock rims.

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Finally got around to getting my brow done on the weekend And today made up some mud flaps so the front of my camper stops getting covered in three inches of mud everytime I take it out :buffer:

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Finally got to shine it up a bit since it's been raining everyday for about a month and a half straight.

    Underbody protection

Not sure where you're at but undercoating's very common here, being winter more than half the year helps that. Although you are right about it being an extra money thing for dealers. Aftermarket ones are generally much better quality compared to dealers cheap ones.

    Heavier oil when towing

Can't speak much for in light duty but we use Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer on heavy duty applications at work, works great for heavy duty diesels and diffs, just don't use too much since it is very thick.

    Tailgate randomly opening

It's a 2015, quite frankly, don't bother screwing with it and make it warranty's problem. Not usually one to bring my stuff to a dealer for anything but when it's that new and the tailgate's randomly falling open, that sounds like a them problem to me. :buffer:

    Stubby Antenna--Recommendations

I have the AntennaX 5", no real difference in reception in or around the city, only when further out where reception would be weaker with the factory antenna do I notice it being worse. I'm always on satellite radio or bluetooth/usb so doesn't really matter to me anyways. No whistle from it either.

    Driver Side Aux Switches

Just cut the holes for them and push them in, the switches have little teeth on the corners to grab and hold them in by themselves.
