    all the engine does is pull timing when you run 87, so the only drawback is you lose power. 87 wont hurt it at all

    The truck is supposed to run on 89. Any higher you are wasting money, lower you don't get the power. I put 87 in mine cause I drive all highway and it saves me $10/tank.

    ^ that's my thinking. A 295 isn't a skinny tire. I just hope my flaps will capture most of the rocks from hitting the paint.

    I've got mud flaps that come out a bit. Stock is +19 so I figure with the 295, the edge of the tire will be pretty damn close to flush with the top of the fender

    they are too wide. i dont want to put flares on my truck, and i dont want to ruin the paint either.
