    2014 2500 5.7 header recommendations

I have seen some advertise their headers as for a 1500 and 2500 but most only say 1500. I watched a video which indicated that the motor mounts were different between the 2 which doesn't seem right to me. I think the only one that says their system fits a 2500 is ARH.

    2014 2500 5.7 header recommendations

I do have a Diablo intune but to be honest I am not impressed with it. That said I don't want to spend a bunch of time trying to "tune" it. The question is which shortys?

    2014 2500 5.7 header recommendations

As the title says I have a 2014 2500 Big Horn with a 5.7 which has about 48K on it. I want to replace the stock exhaust manifolds with some shorty headers and am looking for recommendations. I am not necessarily after max HP gains insomuch as I want to fix the broken studs and gain a little bit...

2014 Ram 2500 RA4 Navigation issues - what to change to?

The antenna was tested and its good. The XM stuff works which I found interesting because I didn't have a current subscription but part of the service at the dealership they gave me a temp/free subscription and it works so I know its not the antenna. I have been looking at a variety of...

2014 Ram 2500 RA4 Navigation issues - what to change to?

As the title says, I have a 2014 Ram 2500 with a RA4 Uconnect system, the nav lost its mind and is not working. It comes on and shows a vehicle icon and appears to be showing an area somewhere in the vicinity of where I am but is not remotely accurate. I took the truck to the dealer for the...

2104 Ram 2500 ABS recall gone crazy

I personally think a lot of the problem lies in software versions. It seems like Chryco doesn't have version control and do not educate the dealers/techs as to what they are doing in terms of changing software loads/programs. In my case, it tool a complete and total system erase and reboot to...

DIY: 2013 Ram add OEM Backup Camera

I agree, the dealer doesn't know what they are talking about. You would "think" that they would but as evidenced throughout this forum this just isn't the case. If you want to know what is entailed, check out the thread Mpgrimm2 suggested, it should give you a pretty good idea. It isn't overly...

    Installing OEM backup cam

Finally I am done, everything hooked up, everything put back together and the best thing; IT WORKS!!! I am posting some pictures of my radio connections in case anyone else does this. Cutting and soldering the new harness wires to the existing was the best and easiest solution. I left enough...

    Installing OEM backup cam

I have looked at the front and rear cameras, tempting but I think I will be ok with the backup (assuming it works when I get done). I don't want to buy a jail break or some other device.

    Installing OEM backup cam

I didn't even know there was a cargo camera option. I will have to research it; where it is and how it works. The last time I tried to get these type of pins out I all but destroyed them. I don't understand how they are retained so I am not sure where to push/release. Also, the red face isn't...

    Installing OEM backup cam

so, here is my current plan, I am going to cut those 3 wires and solder the new ones to them verses try and take it all apart and possibly jacking up the connector. I will leave enough in the harness in case I ever want to hook something else to them (after this experience I sincerely doubt that...

    Installing OEM backup cam

No I don't have a cargo camera. So from what I am reading, these wires are for the cargo camera? As far as having he other wiring for the camera; there were only 2 wires at the back by the tailgate (for the locking actuator). Therefore I am very sure the camera wires were not present.

    Installing OEM backup cam

Ok, finally got past the BCM issue and moved onto the final stage; the radio. I believe I found the spot for the 3 wires and of course they are populated. I have a few questions and would love some advice; 1. anyone know what the 3 wires that I am to "depopulate" are for? Basically, what...

SUCCESS!!!! I found the wire, skinned it and soldered the purple wire to it. What a PIA... Anyone attempting this needs to be limber to say the least. Ben gay is going to be my friend soon.. Great kudos to nickster for the help. removing the knee bolster (I was thinking side kick panel) made...

So if you look at the picture (this is yours obviously), I don't have these 2 grey side blocks unless they are under the cover.

    Installing OEM backup cam

So I figured out some of my confusion; first after looking at the connector, it appears that the housing does indeed come off by popping off 2 side tabs (this is the part of the instructions that say "remove the housing" I couldn't get my head around. Next, my connector does not look like...

Oh and the gymnastics it takes to get under the dash is very special... I had to remove the amp (lost screw is a result of this effort).

    Installing OEM backup cam

a couple of questions; 1. how did you remove the kick panel? Sure I could figure it out but I dropped a screw down there. 2. so, the part I am having difficulty understanding is the part in the instructions is where it says "release the housing". do you understand that? 3. so you are saying...
