    DavidRam's 1st Audio Build... EVER! :)

Haha, yeah, Gary uses 3 DSPs to process all of those speakers (pair of H990s and an H800 iirc). He usually stops by for my events...have one coming up in December, maybe you can make it. ;) Would love to get a listen to your ride! As for Illusion's CX line, yep, I have used them extensively. I...

    DavidRam's 1st Audio Build... EVER! :)

Depends what you mean by 3way since Gary is running something like 16 channels active. :o He's got three of them on his dash, with one on the L/C/R respectively...but each mid/tweeter processed actively. He still has the 6.5s Morel Supremos I believe in his fiberglassed doors, and active 3-way...

*Had* in his Benz. ;) Gary switched to Illusion Audio C3CX coaxials. But yeah, the Morels are super smooth...have a buddy that uses the Supremos in his truck.

    DavidRam's 1st Audio Build... EVER! :)

I still post when I have events mostly to let the community know. But to answer your question, there's a couple things that I sort of have taken issue with. First, I guess you could say I am quite disappointed in how things have become with the new management. People were quick to complain when...

    DavidRam's 1st Audio Build... EVER! :)

I don't pay attention or post there as much as I used to, but I have noticed how they seem to let certain things go but are quick to ban on the other hand these days. Oh well, guess times do change. :)

Couldn't agree more as this is JT's top notch fabrication work. I learned long ago that for something like this, I could probably try to muddle with it but he could do it 1000 times better at a fraction of the time. I go to him exclusively for fabrication work...easily top 2 in the west coast...

    Q&A Car Audio Thread

Q&A Car Audio Thread And speaking of comp season, I entered it in one event this season with a very basic tune (probably less than 2 hours of total tuning time). It won its class, but more importantly felt pretty happy as it was 3rd highest across all classes amongst double digit entries...

Q&A Car Audio Thread Interesting, I have 1800+ W from the Mosconi Zero3 on tap, but I haven't pushed them very hard (yet). I guess we'll see. ;) Thanks for the heads up.

Q&A Car Audio Thread Fox box is great. I'm running two Illusion C12XLs. The spacers come with the fox box...so no need to fab anything.

Should be somewhere between 4-6 inches. I can't take much of the credit though, as for this go round I had JT take care of the whole install vs. my Civic where I did most of it and got some help for the major fab work. Although, I guess after this little ordeal... I had to redo quite a bit...

Deadening panel was removed. MDF was used and covered with carpet to mount the amps and DSPs to. Not much of an angle to the CC back seat...pretty sure it's identical as I had a buddy do something similar with his QC (just with Zapco amps). I use the fox box also and it comes with seat risers...

    Q&A Car Audio Thread

Q&A Car Audio Thread I have a 2014 CC, and if I'm not mistaken should be somewhat similar to a QC in terms of space on the back wall. I have three amps and two DSPs (H800 and 4to6) and plenty of power: 150x8, 500x2, 1850x1. While it's tight and not really enough room for a beauty panel...

Q&A Car Audio Thread Indeed. We've had 6 MECA events for the 2016 season in CA already and hope to get a chance to compete the truck in the next one. Maybe start off in one seat SQ. :)

    Q&A Car Audio Thread

Just started some preliminary tuning, and running PL2 with a center for a 2-seat tune is going to be interesting and is showing some promise. I'm thinking of having a separate 1-seat tune though turning off the center and a 2-seat tune with. We'll see... I also just realized that the PLD...

    Q&A Car Audio Thread

Q&A Car Audio Thread Got our truck back and the build is pretty much done. I have to say, the OEM 8.4AN HU integration into the DSP flat out......sucks. It is about 30-40db below my optical sources, and unless all you care about is AM quality and satellite radio, it's probably ok for...

The GB25 is a great driver, but Andy himself will be the first to tell you that they are intended for and designed as a midrange. I've run Audible Physics products from 2012 or so, and have always been impressed by their quality and more importantly their value for what you are getting. These...
