    Pedal Commander Question

    Yes it can. Mounted my BT model up under the dash out of site and use the app to change settings on it. App was a little flaky at first but once i got it sync'd it was was fine and works great. I was skeptical to at first but its a pretty cool mod that you can really feel.

    Slight “Clunk” when stopped

    My 2014,8 speed Express i used to have did it from the day i drove it off the lot. If i would stop, then let off the gas enough to barely start rolling it would clunk pretty hard like it was going down to 1st gear. Have a 16 now and it doesn't do it. Really annoying and i never figured out a fix.

    I have some Laramie door panels i swapped into my Express and they have the light harness on the panel but i couldn't find anywhere to plug them into the harness on my Express.

    I figured even though its a 2012 that it would still function in my 14 but it looks like i was wrong. Will it work even if it's not talking to the EVIC? I figure its either sending a signal or not. Might just have to sell this whole console and make sure i get one out of a 2014. Blah.......

    I agree, its not worth it to remove my dash out of my truck. God knows i'd never get it all back in right and working. Just hoped my buddy could pull one out of a wrecked Laramie and i could see if the top portion would be removable or not and go from there.

    Bought a 2012 console from cptwing and haven't had any luck getting the Homelink to work in my 14 Express. Gonna try the CV2 sales code next.

    I don't wanna change the whole dash!! Definitely don't have the energy for that. Was hoping to find one cheap enough to see if i could pull the cover off and make it work on my dash. Got a buddy that works in a yard that said he would give it to me for free to see if it would work if he comes...

    I added an overhead console with Homelink and sliding rear window switch to my Express. Very nice upgrade and i will eventually add the rear slider and wire it to work with the console switch so it looks factory.

    Exactly!!! That would look great. I'd be fine with the Laramie style with leather. Been keeping an eye out for complete pullout Laramie dashes to as well but no luck so far.

    Removing headliner to install new antenna

    Its not too bad to take it down, at least the front half. Remove the front grab handles and take down the visors. That gives you room to get up there.

    It looks so easy for somebody to make a cover that sits up there to mimic the Laramie setup. Can't believe nobody does. I would buy one immediately, i hate the grey plastic up there on my Express.

    I added Laramies to my Express a few months ago. I tapped power from my console to get them moving but the heat and cool look like more work than i'm willing to put out right now. Doc Holliday is your man though if you wanna tackle it.

    Thats disappointing. I hoped adding ground and 12v to the appropriate pins would at least activate the fans for cooling. Heated seats aren't needed much here in Texas but cooling would sure be nice.

    My truck harness plugs were right for the big yellow plugs but they didn't have the power lead, just the ground. So i tapped off console power for that. I obviously didn't have the grey plugs for the heat and cooling but i was gonna do like you said and figure out which pin turns on the heat...

    I almost bought that 2016 last week but went with the 2014 instead cause i was unsure everything would work ok. Interested to hear what you think. Got my 14 cheap enough i can resell it easy and go with a 16 if its worth it.

    wax/finish product of choice?

    Clay barred mine and used Adams sealant after and was VERY impressed with how easy it went on and came right back off after it hazed up. Haven't used many other products because i've always been very impressed with Adams stuff for the price.

    I agree!!! Got them for $410 shipped a piece. I was very happy with that price and they have a bunch of them.
