I’m going to throw out what I have done if it helps anyone. I have a 16 RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4.
I wanted to go with a slightly taller than factory tire and level the truck. I ended up with a Falcon AT3W in a 285/65R20 which is roughly 34.5” tall. This is an E rated tire so it adds some...
Better warm up that arm and be ready to wave. It's a Jeep thing.
Should of just kept the Ram like me and had 2 vehicles. Unfortunately I still wave to Wranglers in the Ram too. I think they get it anyway...

My Ram does fairly well I feel. Towing a 4500lb boat from Cape Cod, MA to Alton Bay, NH I averaged 14mpg at 70 with 4.56 gearing. Normally on the highway I see 19 at 70mph and driving around town 17mpg. This is driving with a light foot though. I could just as easily get 10mpg.
06 Ram QC 1500...
My truck doesn't have a name but I do talk to her. I travel alot and when I'm leaving her in the parking garage I tell her how long I'll be gone for, make sure I check all the doors to verify they are locked, lovingly activate the alarm, and give her a little slap on the rear end... I mean...
Dodge, Ford, Chevy... they all build good quality cars and trucks now. Reliability today with American manufactured vehicles is worlds better than it was in the 80s thanks to the Japanese invasion of there cheap and super reliable cars forcing the big three to step it up. Of course every model...
Check your oil. Don't wait for the change to find out your low. If it's low and that's what is causing it you could be causing damage to your motor every time that light comes on no matter what your oil pressure gauge is doing. The gauge is designed to slowly sweep to position so that it looks...
I have an 06 so admittedly we do not have identical trucks. I installed the Rancho Quick lifts and I recommend them. I ended up with just around 2 inches after they broke in so right in the middle of what you have read. When first put them on the tires hit the ground and the struts barely...
I'm putting together a longblock to replace the 5.7 in my truck. I want to build a motor with a solid bump in HP and torque from the original. I need it to be ECM friendly and drivable. I do some towing with my 2 boats which are 20ft (4500 lbs w/trailer) and 28ft (8000 lbs w/trailer) so this...
Well hello there. How about a little information about what you drive, what you've done to it and what brings you here. Welcome to the forum!
P.S... We love pics!

Search brake calipers from Rock Auto if you need to do brakes. They have red powder coated caliper and brackets that match pretty close to the flame red trucks.

On top of the intake behind and to the left of the throttle body. It goes into a boss molded into the intake. All you can see is the end of it. You have to turn it to unlock it to pull it out.

Well it's no Arctic Circle (that must be so cool.. haha.. pun intended) but here is a favorite spot of mine. The lake house at Alton Bay on Winnipesaukee.
My boat really likes it too..

I just use it always. Never had a plug come out hard covered in Anti Seize but I have had many come out hard that didn't have any on them at all.

Removed the nerf bars and put on 2 sets of stirrup steps. I don't think I am crazy about them so I might just go with nothing. Going to wait a couple days and see if I change my mind.
Dropped it off to be detailed inside and out. This is the full treatment. Wash, clay bar, buff wax, etc...
Not extremely hard. It is something that takes a couple special tools and patience. Lots of patience. .. Expect to repeat the whole process at least a couple times before you get a correct contact pattern between the ring and pinion and it is one of those jobs that close isn't good enough. It...
Same here.... you trolled me in then..... BOOM! Pretty turbos!
No way would I do it to mine but I am certainly going to follow this build. Should be interesting to say the least.

That's what I would have rather done but I have kids and a wife that need the step to get in. So I tried them as an alternative. I just took the nerf bars off, the stirrups are in the boxes on the back seat still... I will see how they look today/tomorrow and post a pic.

I just took mine off so I say remove them...
I replaced mine with Mopar stirrups. I think the nerf bars make the truck look lower to the ground than it is.

Wow! Why didn't you chase him down? That thing is penis envy on wheels!
