I did it on my '92 RC. You'll like the get-up-&-GOfactor once done, and with a more modern truck, newer engine, lower miles, etc., you'll hafta be careful not to crush cars at stoplights when you hit the gas!
Our household has a very clear division of labor. On the wimmins side, there is sammich-making. On the men's side, there is trucks. And NEVER the twain shall mix! :word:

Replaced the CAD on mine when I was resto-modding it (it was the factory original, and all the hoses had dry-rotted). Inner grease seal let go almost right away and plugged it up, soooo... $90, down the drain.
Went the Posi-Lok gizmo after that! Didn't EVEN mess with the whole cable...
Ran around in a little snow with mine earlier this week (265-17's on my Jeep Commander - I had 'em put on in September, and they handle GREAT in the rain!). Don't have anywhere to go for a few days, but am tempted to go out and play in it, just to see how they do! :waytogo:
Seconded. MAIN issue is, your PCM will "dumb it down" in short order, making it useless.
IF you're stuck with OBD1 - like I am - getting a performance ECU from Summit would be the way to go. I have one, and may be installing it shortly (I wanted to wait until I at LEAST had the new cam &...
