I think a 2" drop all the way around on 22 fives and lots of Cummins hop up's would be sweet. Or, just do it like this little guy...https://youtu.be/o6YVEkl5pbs
I don't use an FSM so I don't know what steps are in there. I do have hands on experience with it though and if can get those bolts out without pull the axle, nuckel and tiered end I would like to know. I don't see anyway to fit a torque wrench in there without do those things .
As long as it's clean under you should be good, you can look before you put it back and see up by the windshield where the water goes. If you look between the rear top of the fender and either side of the firewall you will that it's pretty much strait down.
Well, not real lockers, but those will do. I'm just tired of seeing 20's and like to see more tire. The 17's will ride and perform better than 20's anyway.

Mine sat for 2 months when I was on disability, battery died and flat spots in the tires. If I have to do it again it'll go on 4 jack stands and the battery unhooked.
If you wanna roast tires then I would recommend a Mustang. These 4x4's aren't made for sliding all over the road, you have a 6K# truck, you'll be creating all kinds of unnecessary wear tear romping around trying to burn the tires off, but I guess it's your money...
