    by the way my wife had a autozone brand (what ever brand they sell) radiator that wasnt very good lasted maybe 2 years. So i researched and found that most mechanics trust certain brands of radiators. CSF radiator brand makes a good radiator.

    Did you pull a vacuum on the system before you filled it? If not you have moisture in the air and in the system causing it to freeze (i know you said you tried to keep dirt and moisture out but if you opened up the system moisture is in the air

    did you try removing your O2 sensor (pre cat) sounds a lot like your cat has collapsed and isn't letting your engine breath. if your stated PSI is 50-55 then you're fine. If pouring gas down the intake doesn't help its not a supply issue.

    Its actually 100lbs / 1% increase in mpg. Its just science. Its a heavy truck i dont think the guy was asking for miracles just improvements. This is a legitimate way. If you are always carrying around 200-300 lbs of weight extra that can make a difference over a long enough time.

    Try to start it with the pre cat 02 sensor unscrewed. Easy test to see if your cat is clogged and choking the engine.
