    Zone 6" inch lift install?

The hydro or nitro shocks will be the same height, the nitro's are just a slightly more rigid platform. The hydro's come standard, but you can upgrade to the nitros for just a few dollars more. Each truck is going to fluctuate as far as ride height goes. Factory standard is going to vary...

    Zone 6" inch lift install?

Devil Dog, I'm in the process of installing this exact setup as we speak. The base shocks that come with the Zone kit have mixed reviews. Some say the upgraded Nitros run amazing, others have had a lesser experience. I personally wanted to go with something bit more reliable so I went with...

Guide to Leveling & Wheel and Tire Sizing for 06+ 4wd Ram 1500's

Great looking rig man! I don't even own anything to tow currently so I'll just address the concern in the future if it does become an issue then. I appreciate all of the sound advice. I picked out some 20x9 ProComp wheels. They have a 0 offset which should allow for the 5" of backspacing that...

Guide to Leveling & Wheel and Tire Sizing for 06+ 4wd Ram 1500's

Brandon, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about :favorites13: . Thank you for clearing things up for me! To answer your question, I was wanting to maintain a degree of rake/elevation for 2 reasons. 1. I don't know if I will be towing anything in the future or not, likely not, but I wanted to...

Guide to Leveling & Wheel and Tire Sizing for 06+ 4wd Ram 1500's

Brandon, Thank you for the extremely detailed and thorough thread. All of your posts I've seen on the forums have been easy to understand an very informative. I've been getting some conflicting information on my setup question so I'll hit you with it if you don't mind. I have a 2014 Ram 1500...

? To those with zone 6" lifts

Disregard my last, I read the post incorrectly. I called BDS and confirmed since their website says it only fits 09-12 1500 RAM models. Rev is right the 98224769 is the correct part for the 6" lifted front and 5" rear. Made my order today, excited to get them in!!

? To those with zone 6" lifts

Are they using the 1500 2009-2012 shocks to support the 2014 trucks as well? I've been looking for something that will support my 6" Zone for a 2014 1500 4x4 and couldn't figure out which part it was. I would like to stay with Fox rears and Billstein fronts. Thanks!

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

That is coming straight from Billstein tech support emails. It could be a situation where they WILL work but they don't recommend it or something like that. I don't know.

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

Thank you, that helped a lot. I'm obviously new to all of this so some of the common knowledge is still news to me. I'll go with the Rancho RS7000MT's for the rear then.

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

    1. Billstein is saying their shocks will not work on a 6" lift. 2. Supposedly the Zone rear shocks that come with the kit aren't that great and I was looking to upgrade those.

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

I'm just being told by Billstein techs via email that their adjustable shocks aren't compatible with a 6" lift. I want to have a 1" rake with a 6" lift. I'm being told that the Billstein 5100's at 2.1 in the front work great, and I'm trying to determine what I can use to upgrade the rear shocks...

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

Why are techs saying that the Billstein 5100's will only work on up to a 2.75 lift?? I see tons of guys running those shocks on a 6". What am I missing?

Billstein 5100's Front and Rear on a 6" Lift

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Zone 6" with the 5" rear coils. I'm planning on upgrading my fronts to the Billstein 5100's. I'm seeing they have rear shocks available as well, will those work just fine for the back end or am I missing something? Will this affect the 1" rake I'm trying to...

Gear Ratio and 35's vs. 37's

Thanks for all of the info! I confirmed that I do in fact have the 3.92's installed. With that being said, am I going to run into any problems by going with the 37's instead of the 35's?

Gear Ratio and 35's vs. 37's

Hey everyone, I'm about to start a build on my 2014 Ram Laramie 4x4. I'll be installing a Zone 6" and am looking to upgrade my tires and wheels. I'm torn between 35x12.50x20 or 37x12.50x20's. Im reading a lot saying that there can be significant power loss when going to the 37's unless I...

    Zone 6" Questions

Ok so I measured my ride height and I am reading 22" in the front, and 24" in the back. If I go with the Zone 6", the Bilstein 5100's @ 2.1 in the front, and 5" rear springs, that would put my ride height at 30" in the front and 29" in the back. In order to eliminate squatting in the event that...

    Zone 6" Questions

Just to be clear, what all would I need in the back to even that up to 8" a piece? Also, are there any disadvantages to jacking it up an extra 2" from the 6" kit? Thanks for all of the info.

I hadn't thought of the 8" option like you're describing. Thats just the Zone 6", Bilstein front shocks and 5" rear springs?

    Zone 6" Questions

I like the stock wheel look a lot, but I may entertain some aftermarket options in the future. For the time being I want to save some coin. Has anyone had any negative results from utilizing 1.5 spacers?

    Zone 6" Questions

"You can run those stock wheels with 1.5" spacers, I believe that's the amount that doesn't require cutting of the factory studs, there's a bit of mixed info though; 1.75" would work for sure. Are you planning on going with the 3" or 5" rear coils?" I inquired to Zone about that, and they said...

    Zone 6" Questions

Hi everyone! First of all, I have a 2014 1500 4X4 and am looking at putting a Zone 6" lift on it. I would like to run my stock 20" wheels and some 35x12.50. According to Zone, my stock wheels won't work because of the offset. They told me that the wheel needs to have a 0mm offset with a 5"...

    Wheel Spacer Help

I'm looking at a 6" Zone lift on my 2014 1500 4X4. According to Zone, using my stock wheels won't work because of the factory offset. They need 5 inches of backspace or a 0mm offset. In order to avoid having to purchase new wheels, is there a big disadvantage to just purchasing some .75 or 1.5...
