    You've "heard many stories" and "been told"? Yeah that's very reliable info. :crazy: How many bazillions of these 5.7 Hemi engines are out there with the normal acceptable oil PSI they came with from the factory? Are the all failing because of not high enough oil pressure? I seriously doubt it.

    I let mine get down to the red mark on the gauge then add a 2.5 gallon jug. That brings it to just above the 3/4 mark.

    Our owners manuals don't say synthetic must be used because it's "better" for the turbo. It says you can use the correct synthetic or dino oil for whatever climate truck is used.     Seems strange that the recall would be only for 3500 pickup, 4500 and 5500 CC trucks. Why would the 2500 trucks like mine where the owners manual states 140lb wheel nut torque not be involved?

    You're still confused. There is no pick-up tube in the transmission pan. The fluid is picked up through the filter. And the pic you posted is a pic of an engine oil pan. And NO anything you damaged in the trans has absolutely NOTHING to do with you needing a new engine.
