I used this on a used Honda CRV I have as a daily driver. I had two pretty good sized scratches on the interior rear glass. You could definitely feel them with your fingernail. Really bugged me when I looked in my rear view mirror. Put it on a dremel with a polishing tip. Scratches are...
I put them in my stock quads and they fit fine. The fit in my Anzo projectors fine too. If anyone is interested in these I would Not recommend putting them in reflector housings. Way too much scatter. You'll be blinding oncoming traffic.
Interested to see how you like them in your retro...
Well, the Anzo has a different harness due to the drl ubar. I didnt want to go splicing wires and booger anything up. So, I put them in the oem quads. Havent driven with them yet.
A couple weeks ago I was browsing the Opt7 website and realized they came out with a new Fluxbeam X LED headlight bulb. They were sold out. I've been checking back frequently and today they changed to back in stock so I ordered a pair. These will go in my aftermarket Anzo projector headlights...
Dont have one on my RAM but on my '14 Silverado I did a bunch of research and went with ARE. Quick notes;
Fit -10 out of 10. Contour lines made it look oem. Even gaps etc.
Finish - 7.5 out of 10. Few minor paint blemishes and imperfections on frame around windows. Purely cosmetic and only...
Others may chime in but the only thing I can think of is if you know someone with a car park 25ft behind them on a flat surface and make sure the headlight cutoff is no higher than the trunk.
Other than what has already been stated.....
RA3=Nav "capable". Has to be activated.
RA4=Built-in Nav + HD Radio + Sirius Traffic+Weather (subscription)
RA4 also receives TMS Traffic over FM Radio (Free)
The above is for 2016 radios. YMMV depending on the year.
I'm not sure what the part number is but just an fyi the piece does not cover the cup holes, it's only trim on that horseshoe shape in the back around it. At least that's how it is in my truck. If you want to cover the cup holes you may have to diy.
I feel your pain. My 2004 oem Silverado reflector headlights were better than my 2014 Silverado and 2016 Ram reflector headlights. Have Anzo projector now and not 100% happy with them. Havent seen a brand/solution yet that get consistent good reviews. At least not enough to make me want to go in...
Googled "catch can smells like gas" and there are quite a few threads on various forums about this. All seem to say it's normal, especially during winter months. Mine too had a strong gas smell and was more watery whitish than oily.
First oil change ever.
Outgoing OEM oil and filter @ 1100 miles
Ingoing 5w-20 Amsoil SS & Amsoil filter
2300 total miles
No tick (cross my fingers). Oil 33psi at warm idle.
About 52-53psi at highway speed.
Interesting find. I looked at the brochures of high-end model light duty pickups. Ford, Chevy, GMC, and Nissan have LED headlights. Ram and Toyota stay with halogen. No HID's.
Even higher trim cars seem to be going LED.
Hmm....
