What steps do I need to make? 46RE
Notice that taking too long to make that first shift, then after it's mostly normal, reverse is good. Would it do me any good to take out all solenoids and clean them along with fresh fluid? Definitely NOT a transmission guy here, but I can be trained.... Any and all advice listened too, feel...- Tarmac

Thanks. Just read something about cables needing to have no slack, topside somewhere.....I could be more vague but it would take effort. So, going to try and see what these cables might have to do with it. Will check back....- Tarmac

Thanks guys. I'm learning this 46RE from experience right now. Climbs up to about 3000-3200 for first gear to kick down...after that seems normal for rest of gears to shift. I've replaced gov press reg, shift solenoid, filter and gasket. That was before winter set in. Also have pretty good...- Tarmac

'95 Mainframe & Top Dash Replacment
Thank you. Gives me hope for mine, like the idea about the tape you used. Good thinking. My dash is mostly cracked around instrument cluster, radio opening, and glove box. Interior is still mostly intact so going to leave it alone for now, but maybe slide some of that tape along the buttress... -

very well done! Like the type of rocker switches used, good idea. Looking to do something similar as my dash is falling apart as well, might just need to relocate a few controls.... -

aha!!! (light bulb!!) Thank you Sgopus, I will be checking the vacuum lines around the engine on my 2000, I remember one line not being connected to anything, and the next time it was driven any distance by the wife....no heat. She switched from heat to cool to heat (for she is a woman...) and...- Tarmac

Well, y'all are all gonna laugh. My sub dash is held together primarily with zip strips right now. I am in the same boat, and do not realistically expect to ever find a complete sub that is not cracked as chrysler was kind enough to use a horrible ABS plastic composition that loves to be... -

Otherwise....was thinking about a long route of extracting my dash (hopefully in one piece mostly) and wrapping same in fiberglass cloth so as to provide some structure and stop the decay. At least I could build up resin/epoxy to screw into and at the supports with the fiber in place. Any... -
