    Top speed

I have to kinda smile. Back in the 80s and 90s, the SUPERCAR makers ( Ferrari/Lambo/etc. ) were all trying to hit the magical 200MPH. They were getting close, but no cigar. Now, you can get a Cadillac with a back seat that hits that mark. This video is 11 years old...

    Amber fog light recommendation

I went with Lasfit switchback fogs. When you toggle on/off/on, they change from white to yellow. I like the option for different weather conditions.

    Tailgate Assist Step

I've had this on the truck for years. Extends far enough to use when the tailgate is down. Collapses down and swings to the side, so it's out of the way when not needed. Price has gone up. I paid $35...

Intermittent Cruise Control Button Panel Not Working

How is this fuse labeled? I can't find a fuse listed for cruise control. Thanks

Impressed with how good 4th gen trucks still look

    As you should. Looks great

    Cabin Air Filter

2016, 2500. Had to cut my door. Not heart surgery, but I found it to be a PITA. I agree with the OP, these trucks cost 2 & 3 times what my parents paid for a 4 bedroom house, and they don't include things that cost literally pennies. A glovebox light for example. My glovebox was wired and had a...

    Stuck in snow

This might help, but I'd use much thicker rope & more than just 4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Nv4mzLXz0s

    LED Upgrade

I hated my halogen lights. Put in LEDs and it's amazing how much better they are. Also swapped the fog lights with LEDs, but got switchbacks. They toggle between white & yellow. Handy for those foggy times.

    Air Compressor recommendation

Have a 6 gallon pancake compressor, but the outlet on the dash of my 2016 2500 didn't have the **** to run it. Found a 1 gallon pancake at Wally World, but still too much for the truck's outlet. So bought a 750W inverter ( $40 at Wally World ). It'll run the 1 gallon compressor. Later found a...

    Cruise control quit

"Kinda" did what TigreST laid out in post #6. However, when I pulled the fuse, I started the truck before putting the fuse back. When I did this, the windshield wipers started, and would not turn off. I'm thinking, what Pandora's box of evil have I just opened? Anyway, put fuse back, and...

    Go Rhino hitch step

Had this one for several years. Pivots left or right when you need it stowed out of the way. Extends far enough to be used when the tailgate is down. Not expensive. Bully hitch step on Amazon.

    Cash out your RAM??

Love my truck. Not top tier ( SLT Lonestar ), but is everything I need. Bought new, six years old, and zero issues. Why roll the dice on something different, that might have issues ( plus cost more )? I enjoy driving this truck, more than the wife's Genesis G80 5.0.

    Gas mileage while towing

2016 2500 6.7 Long Bed. Tow a 35ft V nose bumper pull. Typical MPG 11-13. Worst ever was 9 MPG, and that was straight into a headwind. Keep speed around 65. Agree with some others, it's likely your speed. Even when not towing, my MPG drops a lot once I start getting to 70 & above.

    What does this thing do?

RAM does this corner cutting on so many things. Everything in place to make the truck a nicer ride ( wiring etc. ), and they just don't finish the job. Cabin air filter, foot well lights, glove box light, engine bay light. For less than $20 RAM could have these all working when the truck is...

    Cummins 2500 vs 3500srw

My brother has a 2015 3500 CD SRW LB & I have a 2016 2500 CD SRW LB. So I have been able to compare the ride of both, almost side by side, so to speak. The 3500 is noticeably a stiffer ride than my 2500. However, it still isn't a bad ride ( partly due to the longer wheelbase you get with a long...

    Is this tire toast?

Yea, butter that tire, it's toast. Bummer.

    Educate me

Never driven a RAM gasser, so cannot comment pro or con. The CD sure does cut into the payload on the 2500 though. I am always right at that limit. I tow a 35ft trailer with my 2500 CD LB 3.42 gears & 68RFE 6 speed. Trailer loaded comes in at just over 9K lbs and tongue weight varies, but in the...

    Tradesman vs Big Horn

My brother has a 15 Tradesman. I have a 16 Long Horn, which I believe is just a Texas Big Horn. We both bought trucks that were already on the lot, so had no say in options. The only things my truck has, that he wishes his had are front parking sensors ( he has only on the rear ) and fog lights.

Toyo AT III vs. General Grabber ATX

Kinda sounds like you can't go wrong either way. No experience with the Toyos, but have maybe 8K miles on the Grabbers. They have been excellent in every type of weather ( lately even snow here in Texas ). Looking at the tread, I was afraid they'd be a really loud tire. The Tire Rack reviews...

    Recommend me a nice cruiser

After nearly 5 years of ownership, we still love our 2015 Genesis 5.0 Rear wheel drive & 420 HP. Smooth as silk & loaded with comfy luxury features as well as a ton of safety features. The 6 cylinder can be had with AWD and still has 311 HP.

    Cabin Air Filter

You "probably" don't have one. But there are many videos showing how to "add" one. This guy points out, not just the use for pollen, etc, but to save your AC evaporator. Unbelievable RAM doesn't just put this little door on EVERY truck. The cutout is clearly RIGHT THERE. Just include it please...

    New Jack for lifted 1500

Hi Lift jacks can be dangerous, even deadly if not used properly. Mostly, keep your body parts out of the arc of the handle while raising & lowering. When you have reached the height you want, position the handle in the UP position ( like in the pic posted by ram1500rsm ). Once the vehicle is...

    Considering 2020 Big Horn

Have to agree with jjjefferson & WhBonny. WTH has happened to the price of trucks. Been awhile since I bought mine, a brand new 2016 2500 Cummins LB Longhorn ( same as Big Horn, but sold in TX ). Pre TTL price was $45K. And as WhBonny says, if you plan to tow a camper, I'd 2nd the motion to...

    Fuel filter life reset

Found this thread, as I also was having no luck resetting the fuel filter life on my 2016 2500 6.7 CD. Tried everything suggested here, as well as ideas I found on other forums. Even read the owner's manual ( what a concept ). Nothing worked. Today, into the dealership for some service. Asked...
