Update: Best Buy will be fixing my backup camera Monday, in the meantime it shouldn’t be too annoying. HOWEVER the problem with the DC thingy is because the mounting screws are shorting out on the body of the truck. My lock on that door hasn’t been working for a while and I thought it was just a...
Got my new taillights and speakers in. Put the taillights in and soldered the reverse camera in EXACTLY how it was on the old lights (now I have a problem of my “lamp out” light coming on for a split second every time the truck goes into reverse) and then I put the speakers in and they sounded...
Leatherseats.com has a custom configurator where you can choose material, color, and stitching. They make a kit specifically for our trucks and it's not a cover it's new upholstery. About $1000 for a quad cab, but it's quality and it's custom.
Bunch of goodies ordered for Black Friday. Front and rear JBL speakers usually $240, on sale for $114. New taillights because I kinda might've broke mine trying to get the passenger side to fit without a gap between it and the bed, and a third brake light because I've always wanted one for $199...
Got the old temp sensor out, maybe the reason it wasn't working was because it was in TWO SEPARATE PIECES. Also I would like to extend a big F.U. to Daimler Chrysler for putting the sensor UNDERNEATH the alternator so that when it inevitably sprays coolant is tries to take the whole truck down...
My truck has leaked from the timing cover gasket, the temp sensor, the water pump gasket, the upper hose, and the radiator cap... I've replaced all of them and it's still leaking. I'm about to quit :(
Oh yeah, it took me 20 seconds at 1am the previous night to park and I managed to get a longbed truck backed in PERFECTLY in the middle wide wheels and all. And they couldn't take that same amount of time to pull back out and realign.. yeah right.
I may have done that yesterday... I walk outside to go to my morning classes and this dumbass thinks it'd be a brilliant idea to park so close to me I can't open my door. So I went through the passenger side then "accidentally" opened my door really really hard... oops. (What the picture doesn't...
LMC truck has a ton of affordable replacement dash pieces that seem to be of a better quality than OEM. That's always another option. My dash cracked a while back and I bought a new dash from them and the whole thing was $300
Yeah I was planning on debadging soon, then probably gonna either get a steel rear bumper or traction bars. Still don't know what I want to do with the front bumper.
UPDATE: SCREW AAMCO. I came to a small driveshaft shop here and within 5 minutes he had my driveshaft off and showed me the ujoint that was broken. $100 fix or $800 driveshaft? Aamco is a scam.
That'd be awesome if I could get one for that price, problem is mine truck is a crew cab long bed so the 2 piece is longer than most of the rams out there. Only one I could find that would fit is factory order only, might go have to find a used one.
I just had the ujoints replaced, but I googled this and couldn't find squat about it. I think they might be tryin to screw me here. But if that really is the problem then after I fix it I'm selling the truck, I just can't deal with problem after problem especially when it's all expensive...
Well idk what's going on, my truck has almost like a ticking/clunking noise coming from the driveshaft (more driveline problems yay) and I took it to a shop and the tech there seems to think the core of the driveshaft is deteriorated and is unbalanced and clunking around the inside of the shaft...
Yeah I have a 2 piece, and yep mine has the same problems, should I go to a 1 piece or should I try and get a set of traction bars made? What is going to solve my problem basically is what I'm asking?
